I didn't realize so many people here dislike Adam Lambert so much... It's been like that on here ever since he debuted on Idol. I think he was partially hated because of his OTT gayness, whereas Kris was treated like a golden Pulse god. I've been a huge supporter of him but this performance was a major turn off.

Good God, that last note from Adam made me want to rip my f*ckin' ears off. Terrible.
Kelly and Gaga were the two best for me tonight. By a long shot.
And congrats Taylor! Keep racking up those awards and pissing off the h.aters. It's hilarious.

Adam Lambert Says Censorship of American Music Awards Song Would Be “Discrimination” 11/23/09, 1:29 am EST In approximately 30 minutes the West Coast will get a look at the American Music Awards performance that has everyone talking: Adam Lambert’s racy rendition of For Your Entertainment’s title track. When Lambert finished his song — complete with simulated oral sex with a male backup dancer and a passionate kiss with a male keyboardist — earlier tonight, fans hit the Internet to debate whether the American Idol runner-up’s first major televised performance since the Idol finale pushed the envelope too far. Lambert tells Rolling Stone he didn’t do anything female performers haven’t done on television already — and that if ABC cuts any part of his performance for the rebroadcast it will amount to “discrimination.” “It’s a shame because I think that there’s a double standard going on in the entertainment community right now,” Lambert tells RS backstage after the show at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre. “Female performers have been doing this for years — pushing the envelope about sexuality — and the minute a man does it, everybody freaks out. We’re in 2009; it’s time to take risks, be a little more brave, time to open people’s eyes and if it offends them, then maybe I’m not for them. My goal was not to piss people off, it was to promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom.” If ABC opts not to broadcast several of the more risqué moments of “For Your Entertainment” in a few moments, “In a roundabout way it’s a form of discrimination because it is a double standard,” Lambert says. “They didn’t censor Britney and Madonna macking onstage did they? But yet two men kissing they’ll censor?” The famous Video Music Awards moment Lambert is referring to went down on cable television — on MTV, of course — rather than network television. www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2009/11/23/adam-lambert-says-censorship-of-american-music-awards-song-would-be-discrimination/I would agree with this if he showed the talent to back up the art. He sounded terrible tonight.

If they censored J.Lo they're definitely going to censor him, it's going to air in a couple on the west coast. This is going to be made into a huge deal. Nope. I saw some crotch grabbing and some mid song make out session. I missed the beginning so I don't know if they censored out the bj scene.

Yeah I didn't think they'd get rid of the make out, but I'm wondering if they cut out the bj scene especially.

HIGHLIGHTS: Gaga, J Lo, Kelly, Alecia/Jay Z are my favorites.
JLO really surprised me. Didn't know she could sing so consistently live. GREAT performance.
GAGA was my favorite of the night. The costumes, the glass smashing, the burning piano... she has gotten everyone to step up their game. People are becoming more theatrical and are embracing the fun in their pop music. MAJOR PROPS.
Whitney sounded VERY solid. Her voice is growing and improving with every passing performance. It is still immited but it is STRONG again.
Rihanna, girl I LOVE the theatrics behind your performances. I love your music, I love the growth you have exhibited this era BUT DAM IT TAKE SOME VOCAL LESSONS. Her were pitchy and all over the place, vocally. On the flip side, I love that her stage pressense has improved.
Janet still has those AWESOME moves... But she needed to sing live or atleast PRETEND to. Those moments where she wasn't even lipping came off as her not caring. Stil, a great medley. At 43, and not in the best physical shape of her career... she is STILL the best female dancer out there. I'm sorry but imagine FIT Janet? SCARAY!
BEP were awesome in parts and then less so in others. Still, I enjoyed it.
All in all a fantastic show. This and the VMAs have been very enjoyable. Lets hope the Grammys can make it 3/3.

Kelly was the best.
Adam was the worst.
Everybody else was in between (well, obviously).

I'm sorry but I am sure she sung live. I was told Janet did but I think she lipped.
And who cares if she fell? MISTAKES can happen. Other than the fall, the dancing was TIGHT, the theatrics were awesome, the dancers rocked. She did very well IMO. The fall didn't rattle her. Prefessional.
Pulse HATES the music award shows I've notcied. If peoples favorites aren't there then people HATE like no tomorrow.
It's too immature to me. I enjoyed a lot of tonights performances.

I didn't hate the show. I thought it was a riot. J-Lo and Adam's performances were hysterical. Kelly, Carrie, Rihanna, Shakira, BEP, Green Day were all entertaining. I am just baffled how anyone can think J-Lo did a good job. She fell on her ass during a lip-synced performance that looked like it was choreographed in 1999. It was horrid.

Rolling Stone has been trying so hard to justify Adam since AI ended it's hilarious. When will they stop? LOL
19 should have spread the money more and not concentrate most of it in only one magazine.
Kelly was really good. Gaga was also very impressive vocally for me. Adam was hilarious.
Rest was so boring I can't even remember.

The PR machine sure is in high gear with this guy. I've never seen anything like it for a guy who has yet to sell many records. I didn't even watch the show but you just knew this was coming. How very predictable.

I loved RihRih's stage: the roulette, the mannequins, the TV's... but she lacked some energy. The performance at the Nokia in London was MUCH better. She was probably a lil' nervous.

Entertainment Weekly sums up my feelings best. Here are a few thoughts:
SHAKIRA Shades of ''Hollaback Girl'' in the spirit-squad intro and a cappella call-and-response, plus ''Single Ladies'' black leotards for the backup dancers. Still, Shakira makes new Timbaland-helmed single ''Give It Up to Me'' her own Colombian-caliente party starter. But sorry hip-hop fans; no Lil Wayne guest spot, as per the album version. Grade: B
KEITH URBAN He kissed a girl, and he liked it. Country’s reigning Aussie turns out a tight, rollicking version of his country-crossover hit ''Kiss a Girl'' — and of course we all know which Oscar-winning redhead he smooches on his own time. Life is good, isn't it, Keith? Grade: B+
KELLY CLARKSON Strings make it extra-classy! Clarkson's torchy, slow-burn ballad gets the orchestral treatment. Though the usually unimpeachable season 1 Idol champ sounds uncharacteristically shaky (nerves? bum earpiece?), she brings it home for the final notes. In the end, an off night for one of the strongest natural talents in the business. Grade: B-
JAY-Z AND ALICIA KEYS A little Sinatra-redux swing from Alicia to kick things off, then the Hova bounding onstage in Ray-Bans and a white dinner jacket to go with that white baby grand — this must be the hip-hop anthem of the year, ''Empire State of Mind.'' Even Reba McEntire's smiling! Together, the pair garner the biggest applause of the night so far. Grade: A-
CARRIE UNDERWOOD The lady is a vamp — she's country, sure, but ''Cowboy Casanova'' puts some serious rock in that twang, even though she spends the first half seemingly reluctant to let it rip. Once she does, Carrie wins the vocal prize of the night so far — and the gold star for white satin hot pants too. Grade: A-

Adam knows he who he is. Many of you will learn much from his example, like gays in the 80's did from Madonna and Leona Helmsley.
Michael Jackson didnt make Thriller possible all on his own. Prince helped. A lot.
Glambert isnt the gay Michael Jackson. He's the gay Prince.
