how is this going to chart?
there's the regular Fame Monster that's supposed to sell for $8
and then the deluxe version w/ The Fame attached as disc 2...
will both versions chart as 'the Fame monster' a new album? and 'The Fame' will continue to chart on it's own w/ the version released a year ago? ???
would they even continue to produce the orig. version of The Fame album once TFM deluxe is out? or would they try n force ppl to buy the double Monster/Fame album instead to help the 'new' album chart?
*so confusing* :'(

i'm not completely sold on the whole "i came to a revelation and this is my sophomore effort". Huh? this. Read it. Lady GaGa on The Fame Monster: "In the midst of my creative journey composing The Fame Monster, there came an exciting revelation that this was in fact my sophomore album, I would not add, nor take away any songs from this EP. It is a complete conceptual and musical body of work that can stand on its own two feet. It doesn't need The Fame." i'm just not buying that whole idea.

I guess her revelation was the record label saying it was too expensive

So the full Fame isn't being re-released just an assortment of clips

Is every single one of her shows sold out? I'd hate to resort to StubHub.

After all, what re-release do you know that has 8 new tracks? It's entirely logical that she would look at this as a new body of work, not just 2 or 3 songs tacked onto her old album.

Dance in the Dark is too much of a “hey, I’m a gay icon, aren’t I? Aren’t I?!” It’s ok. Video Phone & Telephone are both ok. Alejandro’s okay. I admit I do like the accent she puts on the titular name. The video’s typical Gaga. After hearing these songs, even though I don’t think BR is that impressive, it’s the best of the bunch so far. Vs. her other videos, Paparazzi is riskier/more interesting and Eh Eh is the only one that fits with my sensibility. I still think Wonderful is her best song.
Justin Bieber’s new “album” has 8 songs but because it’s already planned to have more for a re-release in a few months, which just seems cheap.
ETA: The other half of the EP is worse.

I refuse to listen to any more songs until the album comes out, or maybe the day before.

Really looking forward to Monster and So Happy I Could Die. Speechless and Teeth sound like they may be the worst two songs out of the whole bunch ...

Err...
Well one things for sure... anyone who criticizes her for lack of variety hasn't really got a leg to stand on.

I finally purchased this CD. I was going to wait for the re-release to get it, but now that GaGa considers TFM a sophomore effort, I wanted both CDs separate from one another on the shelf. I'm still not sold on the LoveGame Remix that's on the US version (I like the simple chorus at the end more), but I'm going to try it out.

Apparently the BR is about...sex trafficking? Or at least a woman being bought at a futuristic bath house by Russian mobsters. I CAN TOTALLY SEE IT NOW! LOVE IT!

I love the clip of speechless! I hope no one jumps on me for this, but I think it actually sounds kind of like a John Lennon tune... very 60's/70's. Definitely sounds more promising then Brown Eyes or Again Again.

Speechless and Teeth sound horrible. That's not her style at all. She might be stuck doing dance music.

"telephone" is quite bummer. it sounds like filler, if that. why would anyone in the top notch work with darkchild anyways? everybody knows he's the king of mediocre.

Can someone post a list of all of the record-breaking accomplishments she has achieved so far?
Particularly dealing with sales, tours, chart position...and everything else. Thanks.

From the clip it sounds like Speechless will flop if its a single.

There is definite overkill going on, and although everything is super great and awesome, it can't last forever. There was absolutely no break in between albums. In fact, they overlapped. Has this happened before? Seriously? Going back to the 60s, some of the biggest bands and singers released two, sometimes three albums in a single year. Overlapping was how it was done. I don't know if there was overkill back then as some released half a dozen albums in 4 years and had dozens of hit songs.

But back then record companies would only release 1-2 signle off an album and in most cases the single would sell more than the album itself. Also singles would have short chart runs. For example: 44-28-8-2-1-1-5-6-12-29-47-74
