As the other thread got to the 90th page, I thought it would be a good idea to create a new one.
Make Me is #1 on the Billboard Dance charts. That's the accomplishment of this era: Her dance #1s span 4 decades. That's our girl Janet. ;)

PMB doesn't always wait until 100 pages, so this is perfectly fine. :)

Well.. whatchu think, Kishi.. Shouldn't J add Enjoy to the setlist? And them folks @ the xone were talking about her working with Lady GoneGone... i'd hate it. profoundly. Unless they played by Janet rules (conventional shit = no freakshow) I'd rather have Nicki Minaj writing for her. that would be hot.

I heard "Enjoy" was supposed to be performed on the last tour, but was instead used in the closing credits of the show. But that's just a rumor that was floating around. I was glad it was incorporated into the RWT anyway.

yes i saw the credits video. either ways i couldn't see it fitting any other part of the show... perhaps if it was the AFY tour... there would be room..
i wanna see her reformulating her next tour... and adding Better Days / Enjoy

Next tour should be a total overhaul- meaning, ax the medleys, don't try to cram all or most of your singles in there (she's done it enough), mix up some of the classic choreography, etc. etc.
Number Ones holds at 187 in its 6th week on the Billboard 200.

"Enjoy" is great! One of the standout tracks on 20 Y.O.

In the 20 Y.O. era, she stated in interviews that her goal was to perform all her big singles on one tour. She accomplished that for RWU Tour. For future performances, I'm thrilled to see what she'll do, but an overhaul is necessary!! I love watching Janet perform a full song. It's obvious she doesn't want to put on a 3-hour show with dancing, singing, costume changes because it can be tiring, but quality is better than quantity. Surprises and changes are always great...and as long as she's giving 100%, I'm sure fans and audiences will be receptive to newer material. She doesn't need to make Control and Rhythm Nation the bulk of her setlist (janet. was her biggest era and she hardly does any material from that album). Enough rambling...Make Me, WDIGM2, book, tour, fans, and Janet 2010 is amazing!! I wish all of you a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year!

Yes, Kishi- I think fans should support her if she decided to not do a lot of the hits for one tour. She's done them enough that it won't hurt to perform some other material. She's done the medleys for so many tours now, and she really did cram in almost everything with the Rock Wit'chu Tour. When an act doesn't perform a song for a certain amount of time, it's an even more joyous moment when she finally drag it out of the closet again later on.

No one will forget any of her big hits. But it's a real treat to see when she does things differently. The response she'll get from performing a fan favourite or an unreleased track is going to be INSANE.

Speaking of Janet samples, UK producer Joy Orbison lifted part of the "LWND (WY)" vocals for his "Hyph Mngo" single. It puts me in a trance, LOL.

The IYAZ track is growing on me, but the Joy Orbison track is delicious.

I prefer Janet's unique collaborations. Kathleen Battle, Vanessa Mae, Q-Tip, etc. You can tell she went outside of the box and it works every time.
<-- I would love for her to do a sexy slow jam with this man or Lenny Kravitz.

Janet and Busta definitely worked. Janet and Q-Tip worked. If the collabo is hot, then I'm all for it. I can't wait to start hearing stuff about the new album. Soon enough, we'll get the title for the album...album release date...title of first single...first single release date...footage from teh album photo shoot, etc.
Bring it, Janet!

She already recorded a song with Pitbull. I hope it makes the album because I'm anxious to hear it.

"Again"- which is a stepchild of "Let It Be" (with the piano keys)- now is sampled in a track- nice (though I'm not crazy about Iyaz's music thus far).
