A while back, as some folks might recall, I did a guessing game for my 90s decade end chart based on pop airplay. That game was well received, so I followed it up with an 80s one. Another decade just ended, so guess what that means? Yep, I’m working on a new game.
Since no one else would do it (Billboard only gave us a top 50, AT40 only did a top 40), I have come up with a listing of the top 100 of the 2000s based on the official CHR/Pop charts (i.e. Mediabase, Billboard, R&R) of the past 10 years. The chart I’ve come up with looks to be a nice complement to the, aforementioned, decade end charts that we’ve already seen.
Since it’s not an “official” chart (used a formula I derived to tabulate it, not spins), I’ll be doing this in the Personal Charts forum (that’s the most appropriate place). Since it’s based on the pop charts, though, I thought I’d flag it up here since the people who frequent this forum are likely to be the ones most interested in playing. I'm aiming for a Sunday morning start time. I’ll post again when I've kicked it off.
