The official 2010 Vancouver Olympic theme song. I didn't really like it at first, but since it's been played on CTV (and the radio) all the time now that the games have started, I've really started to like it. This girl can really sing, too. I wouldn't be surprised if a regular single is serviced to radion in early March to capitalize on her initial exposure/success.

Her album will be huge - she'll probably sell nearly what SuBo sold in her first week.

Ugh is right. I love the Olympics, and everything. And I try to support Canadian artists as much as I can, but to me her voice is awful. Has no depth, soul, rasp, or anything. And I'll go ahead and say that she isn't really marketable? I don't know, but it's been #1 so I guess I might be wrong.

Oh god, someone kill this song, please. So sick of hearing it 24/7.

Yeah but it's also very cliche and unoriginal and just plain boring, musically and lyrically. Regardless of what it stands for.
I really like 'One Dream' by Sarah McLachlan.

Nikki Yanofskyβs βI Believeβ (Universal) remains atop the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 for a third consecutive week, with more than double the chart points of Jason Deruloβs βIn My Headβ at No. 2. Yanofskyβs ballad, which holds at No. 1 on the Hot Digital Songs chart (29,000 downloads, up 2%), is the most downloaded track of 2010 so far (93,000). βI Believeβ continues to gain support at radio, with a 24% audience increase to 7 million impressions, jumping 25-14 on the Hot 100 Airplay tally. A Francophone recording of the song by Annie Villeneuve (Entourage) lifts 47-36 on the Hot 100, while an instrumental version by co-writer Stephan Moccio (Universal) glides 55-49.

I don't mind her singing, but this song is very bland, like those American/Canadian Idol winner songs. It grew on me slightly after hearing it such much during Olympic coverage, but I still don't like it.
