I'm not saying it's definite. However the two acts being on the same label, the similar song titles, and the songs themselves sound alike. Then their was Kelly's tweet about the label leaning towards the 4th single being one that started with I and ended with U. You think they sound alike!? Hmm, I don't hear any similarity personally. I just have a hard time believing a label would cancel a single just because another one has a similar name. Seems really far fetched to me. I think IICHY probably was in consideration, hence Kelly's tweet, but they just ended up deciding on AIEW instead. i think the similarity is the hard dance beat they both have.

Why exactly would radio be hesistant to play a male electro-pop song like this? Don't the males out their need something more than Lady Gaga to get into? Why would it be the males that need a male electro-pop song? Radio is hesitant to play anything that isn't like what it's already playing. Sometimes new types of songs breakthrough and create trends (Lady Gaga created the dance/electro-pop trend for females). But that doesn't happen a whole lot. More often, CHR evolves slowly over time to different styles, and it's difficult to break through with a completely different thing. For CHR that is. If this was sent to Dance with a remix I think it would do just fine. So RCA has to hope that radio will embrace dance/electro-pop with this kind of vocal. WWFM was different--not a dance track at all. Very Pink; very CHR. More subdued vocals.

This is one of a few tracks on the album when I can imagine listening to it during one of the weekend countdown shows...even if it is a male electro-pop song, I can't imagine this not being a hit.

This is a great song... but I would have totally loved for Clarkson or even Ke$ha to sing it instead. No hate on Lambert, but his voice is a bit rough for it.
p.s. Totally think this is the reason IICHY wasn't released. It makes total sense now and I knew there was a reason RCA would pass up on a gem like that. The two songs have that electro vibe to them, and they both have similar subject matter. Plus the song titles are almost exactly the same.

This had better not flop because I will be so annoyed that RCA passed up IICHY for Kelly because that would have been a hit for her. Well, anyway, maybe AIEW will be like a subliminal plug for the album as a whole so that it will finally cross a million in sales, IIHY will take off and everything will work out for the best.
Any video ideas? Will Adam have to sing to the camera again rather than a real-life male being cast as the love interest? :)

My only problem with this is that it's not good live, which is a bit of a issue since this is probably going to be what he sings on American Idol. He might still sing WWFM, but it feels more logical to give this song a jumpstart.

Wait, this isn't confirmed yet-- he said it was most likely the next single, but that nothing had been decided yet, and someone from RCA said that it was the best guess at this point but nothing would be decided for sure for at least several weeks, while WWFM is still going. So, this seems like a premature thread. :) ETA: I'd be happy to have this as the next single, just saying it's too early for the thread, isn't it? Absolutely- this is nothing more than a rumor. The RCA guy said Adam was just making an "educated guess" there has been no decision- several songs still under consideration. Some think Clear Channel has no issue with Fever as it is prominently on their Top 40 stations' homepages all over the US. Further, the buzz is that the big push for IIHY is coming for HAC PDs in North America and within Sony/RCA. Also that a few really important US PD's do not want IIHY to be the next single. Speculation all around.

here's the RCA mod's post from adamofficial.com Adam is making an educated guess based on the discussions we've all had, but there are other candidates and it's just not confirmed yet guys. By the time "WWFM" runs its course at radio (no earlier than the end of March), so many things could change...and usually do, that it's a little too early to know for sure.source

I love this song but the more I listen to it the more i have a hard time seeing CHR embracing it.
I think Sleepwalker, Pick U Up, Aftermath, Sure fire Winners would be better, safer, choices.
But if this is the single and smashes than it would be much deserved because it's the best song on the album.

Would fit perfectly as the theme song for the new season of Pokemon.

The album sticker had me scared, I was afraid the third single might be Sure Fire Winners. I would've prefered Fever, but I don't think the odds of them releasing it after what happened with FYE are that high at all. Sleepwalker for 4th!

This and FYE Music Again and WWFM are the only songs I like on the album so I think it's a good choice, I don't think it will do much but at least it won't completely tank like the awful "Fever" would.

This is catchy and I like it but I dont see a big hit potential. This might ends up like FYE.

I have been patiently awaiting this release. Great timing too. Hopefully WWFM can hang on a bit longer so this become a hit as spring is in full force going into summer.

Poor timing (if official). Poor choice. They should have continued down the same route as "Whataya Want From Me". Therefore, "Music Again" would have been a ideal selection.

This isn't even confirmed as the next single, and if it is, I'm pretty sure this isn't going to be sent to radio for awhile. They're still pushing WWFM, and Adam won't be in the States to do any promo for this for at least a month. His only upcoming US performance that I know of is Leno next week, and he's doing Music Again. He could probably do IIHY when he appears on Idol, but that probably won't be until much later.

Can't believe some think this is more CHR-friendly than WWFM.
This sounds like something you'd hear over a montage of a pathetic one-legged brace-face pining after the lead cheerleader in some 1985 brat pack flick.
