I hope the rumored adds date of 4/27 is true...that would be good timing. I'm still on the fence though about this being a single.

I'm not sure how this will do because there's no other current electro-pop male song on the charts to compare this to, but it deserves to be a hit imo. I think it has a better hook and is more catchy than WWFM though I love WWFM too, so I hope this does well.

I agree that this is unpredictable. But that's great, because there is no other male electropop song on the radio now and its about time we have one! I hope its embraced, Jason derulo, jay sean, & companies whatever they do just don't do it for me.

I hope that RCA vetted radio stations on "Fever" and "Music Again" before choosing "IIHY".

THought of another thing, the tempo may be a little fast in this song, even if Kelly sang it. It's a fast song and that could be a problem.

I hope that RCA vetted radio stations on "Fever" and "Music Again" before choosing "IIHY". Adam has said that radio wont play Fever because of the pronoun - so I think they have tested that at least.

Adam was already able to master it in the AOL sessions and I don't think it's too fast for the radio. There are many songs imo that are faster than this.

I thought he only discussed it with GaGa? In any case both IIHY and Fever are risky. The only safe choice was Sleepwalker. Would be cool if this smashes.

Has anybody predicted this going #1 on Pop yet? Just checking. I think it'll do about the same as WWFM.

Nah, he can sing it well live:
THIS except I'd replace Aftermath with "Pick U Up"
I think it's even better than IIHY.

I think it'll do about the same as WWFM. at the first part of this post, and if this does about the same as WWFM I'll be happy with its performance. This isn't a safe song like WWFM, that should have gotten much higher imo, but a risky song. If this gets to the top 15, having two songs so different out there could help Adam imo in album sales, and this would leave "Sleepwalker" to the fall where "Sleepwalker" should hopefully smash.

What's risky about the song? It's up tempo but kind of generic to my ears.

Has anybody predicted this going #1 on Pop yet? Just checking. I think it'll do about the same as WWFM. I think it'll do better seeing as 1) He has hype from WWFM doing well 2) The timing is pretty good 3) There is a good chance Cumul-esus will add IIHY sooner than they did WWFM 4) The song screams hit; I singled this one out as being his biggest hit when I first heard the album. 5) There are similarly uptempo, catchy, electropop songs such as YLIMD out at the same time as this will be. ;) I predict (if it doesnt flop) that it will have beiber-esque smashing right out the gate, maybe slow down at top 20, smash again and sneak its way into top 5 where it will spend a week or two and then have a medium-speed descent.

Yeah, there are plenty of electro-pop songs sung by male artists that start with drums and lines about putting makeup on the radio right now, right? I'd love to see it accepted and smashing, and I hope it happens, but we've already seen what happened to FYE to know there's a risk here still.

I'd be happy with a number one on the dance chart. A #1 anywhere on the Billboard chart is now considered a #1, where it used to be just the HOT 100.

My prediction? #14 peak at best. Realistically I'd say #21.

Not getting any spins yet. I guess we'll have to wait for the add date. Maybe OHP can give it an early spin to put it on the map.

Why should it get spins now?
I don't see it under new music in AllAccess, I don't see an adds date for this yet in neither AllAccess nor FMQB.. and frankly, why should RCA want it to get spins now? There are stations spinning WWFM for months and months that I think would jump on another song of his as soon as it's released, and if RCA want the best peak for WWFM, they should wait with promoting IIHY until the end of this Billboard top 100 week.

I don't expect much for this one. I love it, it's a fun summer song. But electo-pop in general is not that popular on American radio, even less if sang by males. I'm just curious whether RCA will push another single if this one fails quickly. Now I get why don't won't pick Fever, but Sleepwalker has a shot at being a hit too.
