Also heard Scott from last season will be on (I don't get it... not sure he even has a single). They owe Scott. He got snubbed at the finale last season because the musician he was suppose to be playing with pulled out last minute. Thats why he is getting to do it. Oh yeah, that's right. I forgot about that.

Scars? Seriously?... Beautiful song, but it won't do anything... I was hoping for Just Like You/Beat Me Up... and then a ballad... but, oh, well...

I would like to point out that when the album came out this was the song (Not Friday I'll Be Over U) people were buying. I'd say that's a good sign.

^^ Sales can often be misleading when we're talking about what album tracks people are buying. Are you sure "Scars" wasn't listed in the What's Hot for that week on iTunes? They generally pick one song from each new album (and it's generally not the single). Whatever that song is gets a nice sales boost over the other album tracks.
Also, what people choose to buy depends on how good the 30 second clip is on iTunes. I've heard some terrible track previews for great songs, and great previews of otherwise mundane songs. I've bought songs based off clips that I wound up not liking too much after I heard the whole song. I've probably also passed up great songs because the clip wasn't so good.
Whether people bought it the week her album came out or not, that doesn't change the trends on CHR, or what PDs choose most of the time.

I love this song. I don't think it'll do anything though.

This is a poor choice. I mean, it's a good song, but it's not the best song to release after a flop. Now if FIBOU had done well, then yes, I could see this going top 20, but this will be lucky to crack top 50.

It's sad that Allison is just going to join the countless number of idols who end up fizzling away to nothing. With the right backing she could have done really well too

I don't think we should totally count this out before it even gets an add date. It could wind up surprising. I don't think it's necessarily the right choice--but you never really know.

If FIBOY failed to make much of an impact despite being so tailor made for radio, nothing else she puts out from the album can imo.

She should've performed FIBUO on Idol, maybe that could've jumpstarted it.

I wanted Beat Me Up, but I guess this song has tested the best out of the other songs on the album.
She needs to bring it this Thursday.

Love this song but I personally think it should have been BMU or just Like You. But this will have the biggest effect after being performed on idol most likely

Matt Giraud said he will be on Idol this year (not sure why he doesn't even have a record contract)- Danny has said so as well. Those are the only two I know that have said they will be on- besides the big ones, of course. Sometimes Idol tells them they will be on and then doesn't put them on (Jason, Michael Johns)

So upset. This will be flop-tastic on radio. They should have just released the title track JLY

Just Like You, Beat Me Up, or Don't Waste The Pretty would have been my picks. But like I said before, nothing 'hits' quite like FIBOU, and since that flopped, the choices I listed wouldn't have much of a shot either.
I too wish she was singing FIOBU on Idol. It would be the best possible way to promote the song and give it one last chance. Oh well, it's her career.

FIBOY was never that good live IMO so performing it on idol most likely wouldn't have done as much. A ballad obviously connects better with that audience.

Matt Giraud has a single out, he might come on to perform.
I don't think we'll get to see the kind of rally we did last year though, with all kinds of past AI-contestants performing.

Having only heard Friday I'll Be Over You, and now this, I actually think this is an improvement, single wise. I think FIBOY was a failed attempt at being Avril Lavigne, but this sounds more radio-friendly. Having said that, I haven't heard anything else from the album so there could probably be better songs on the album.

I also agree with some of the above posts that they should have gone with "Just Like You." That is a great song, and it actually sounds like something Pink would sing, melodically and vocally. (doesn't hurt that Max Martin gave her an A-grade chorus on it). Oh well.
