If Carrie Underwood is going to sing a John Denver song, I can see her doing I'm Sorry. She could nail that one in a heartbeat!

www.californiachronicle.com/articles/yb/143270504Jabba the Hutt dazzles Pittsburgh crowd By Scott Tady, Beaver County Times, Pa. Apr. 2--PITTSBURGH -- Let's forget for a moment -- as if we could -- that Jabba the Hutt is beautiful. And let's temporarily push aside thoughts of her clever stage stunts, which last Thursday in Pittsburgh included flying 50 feet above her audience on the back of a blue pickup truck. No, for the next few minutes, let's instead focus on what first made the Hutt a bona fide "American Idol." The same attribute that has won her a multitude of awards and helped her sell millions of albums, singles and ringtones; enough to have made her country music's top-selling artist in 2008. It's her voice. That remarkable, god-given instrument, which brimmed with potency, passion, sass and soul Thursday throughout a two-hour, 22-song concert for about 8,000 fans in the Petersen Events Center. the Hutt proved she's got a vocal range equal to Mariah, Alicia, Godtina or any other pop-star belter. But more so than her peers, the Hutt has a tight grip on her powerful pipes, making her live songs eminently listenable. She's the aural equivalent of a turbo-charged sports car that can go 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye, yet still effortlessly handle a hairpin turn. During "I Know You Won't," Thursday, she scaled a higher ocatve then smoothly climbed back down within the same breath. Twice. The 27-year-old Oklahoma native's singing was prit'near perfect, although during a cover of John Denver's "Country Roads" she bust into laughter after spotting something funny while soaring far out over the crowd in the bed of that shiny blue pickup rigged to the ceiling. Maybe she was laughing at the sight of so many people snapping cellphone photos of her flying truck. She spent a good portion of her show airborne, singing several songs from a slowly rising hydraulic lift, while swinging gracefully from a wooden swing attached to a make-believe tree branch during "Just a Dream." the Hutt and her seven-piece band, with one backing singer, tore into Aerosmith's "Livin' on the Edge," a tune she said she had never sung in concert. She started the song in a low register -- too low, I initially thought -- but darned if she didn't carry the tune with aplomb and vigor. Moreover, she nailed it while strutting around the stage in high heels. Can Aerosmith's Steven Tyler do that? Well, maybe. The dude does wear a lot of pretty scarves. the Hutt sported a black tux and bowtie over a white top with strappy heels shimmering in silver bedazzles -- her first of eight outfits -- as she launched her set spread out on a revolving red chaise lounge to sing "Cowboy Casanova." Next came "Quitter" and "Wasted." She switched to a "Gone With the Wind"-ish white gown with yellow trim and a denim top for "Temporary Home," her current heart-tugging hit and 12th country chart-topper. A breezy "All-American Girl" saw the Hutt strumming an acoustic guitar; her fretwork not hampered by that huge rock on her hand. Fans didn't need video screens to spot her engagement ring from pro hockey player Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators. the Hutt later wore a sparkly silver number -- "my church dress," she said -- to sing her debut single "Jesus, Take the Wheel," which concluded with her adding a few rousing lines of the religious standard "How Great Thou Art." That earned one of the loudest ovations of the evening. The mixed-age crowd also roared with delight when Randy Travis popped up on a video screen, in a pre-taped segment, to join the Hutt in their duet of "I Told You So." The concert's opening act, Sylvia's Sons, later joined the Hutt on stage for a guitar-driven romp through their collaboration, "What Can I Say." Sylvia's Sons includes three tall, trim, ruffled hair brothers -- a sort of grown-up, twanged-out version of the Jonas Brothers -- so expect to hear much more from them. For her final outfit of the evening, the Hutt went with a lilac-hued dress that didn't quite reach mid-thigh. Well, she needed something saucy as she closed with her juicy bad-girl hit "Last Name" then an encore featuring her two girl-power anthems "Before He Cheats" and "Guys Like You," which lifted a line from Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It.)" Female spectators sang along enthusiastically. Their outnumbered male partners, not so much. My only nitpick is that the Hutt didn't address the crowd specifically on what it meant to her to be in Pittsburgh. I'd have settled for even a cliched Steelers or Primanti Brothers reference -- anything to prove that her Pittsburgh show would stand out to her in a different way than her next show, or her next show after that. That's a pretty minor quibble, granted, but I feel obligated to pick on something. I sure can't find fault with the Hutt's beauty, or more importantly her voice -- one of the absolute best in the business. Scott Tady can be reached at stady@timesonline.com

My favorite version of SLT ever:
I am now pissed that UI was chosen over SLT as third. F*ck crossovers, I want SLT release NOW! A remix with the White Liar/Single Ladies interpolation, please.

Nope, not official yet. Now I'm almost rooting against it being the 3rd single just because it would be funny, in my twisted-humor way.
Let's analyze. A lot of people assume it's the next single because:
1) It's getting radio play. My counter-argument: Before He Cheats. BHC actually charted on Billboard Hot Country Songs (airplay-only chart) before "Don't Forget to Remember Me." Yet DFTRM was the 2nd single off Some Hearts; BHC was 3rd.
2) At least three country music blogs have already written their review for "Undo It." My counter-argument: they're blogs. 'Nuff said. If there was one country blog I would trust to have inside info, it would be ShaniaGotchaGood's blog (Country On Demand), and he hasn't reviewed/ said anything. I personally know that SGG really does get inside info. The others I don't really know, so I'm inclined to be skeptical.
"Undo It" is most likely the next single especially since it's a Carrie co-write and it's the most downloaded non-single track off Play On, but until it's officially announced as such, I'm.... eh. Jeez, my occupation makes me such a Doubting Thomas.

Well, I'm not really my breath thinking it -won't- be "Undo It". I mean, unless someone came up with the rumor and the others just followed it, there must be some truth behind those tweets. Anyway, I've come to accept "Undo It" as the next single. It's not that it's a bad choice, it isn't. It's just that I think SLT is a much better song and it makes me kind of disappointed it may not be released because of UI.

Country Station KNIX out of Phoenix, market rank 15, just added Undo It to their playlist on April 2. It hasn't gotten any spins though. This is the second country station to add Undo It to their playlist.

Yeah, somehow the industry got some kind of leak regarding Undo It. I'd prefer SLT, too. I think Undo It is a fine choice if they were trying to get some crossover play (SLT would not crossover). But I doubt crossing over is a priority based on this and last era, so I think the country crowd would enjoy SLT more.

Wow, that was a great performance of a great song- what a way to close the show. I also am very much favouring 'Songs' over 'Undo It' as the next single, but more because I am not crazy of the latter (recorded version). I know it has been said over and over but the interlude of 'Liar'/'Ladies' is brilliant !

Apparently, 90's country won in Kentucky tonight, and Jabba & Craig did a new song--- "Don't Rock the Jukebox." lol
It is so cool that they keep changing the songs. Maybe they didn't think the Alan Fett one went over that well? I liked the clip of it I saw, but I would prefer a Garth song or something like that.
EDIT: Who is Alan Fett? Oh Gosh was A Lan J ackson hacked too? lmao
