the theme of the two tracks (solely based on titles) seems to be something abuot distance - maybe carrie was missing the hubby when she co-wrote these songs. heh, maybe the next album will have mostly songs about pining for her man. maybe more mushy songs

All of Carrie's albums are on sale over at iTunes. the theme of the two tracks (solely based on titles) seems to be something abuot distance - maybe carrie was missing the hubby when she co-wrote these songs. I hadn't thought of Distant Lullaby like that, I was thinkin' more along the line of babies. But, now that you mention it, that would actually make a lot of sense. Ugh. I need new Carrie now. Mama's Song better be the final single.

Two things I wish for next album - no more Kara Dioguardi and no more guy-bashing songs. Carrie seems to be more known by non-country audience for those songs only, and I hope the new album could bring something fresh. Besides, it won't fit with her current life anymore.
ETA: Btw, do we need a new thread soon?

I find it funny how quickly I get highly excited when the rumors about the next album start to pop up. It's always the same thing, but it's awesome, indeed.

I'm pleasantly surprised "Temporary Home" is known enough outside of the US. That was Norway and as I posted before, the song was also sung on X Factor Australia.

Wow one of the Norwegian X Factor judges even cried. Anyone knows what that judge commented? (I don't understand the language)
ETA: I'm surprised as well, leilamaurizia. And that song does make a very good audition song.

I'm also surprised that Temporary Home is so well known outside the United States. But I'm glad it is. The Norwegian guy's performance was just amazing.

On 101.9 The Mix (Chicago Station), they just played Undo It as a "new tune at 9". The radio host said he liked it! But a new tune? It was the country version, but hey, is it getting introduced to pop?
Made my day! =)

That is very cool! Is this station big in Chicago? Why yes it is! It is one of the biggest, if not the biggest pop station for the Chicagoland area! I was very surprised to hear it..! =D

TH sung in Norway. How about that. If this song moves people like this judge, why not tour. I think Carrie would surprise alot of people in Europe with her vocal ability and songs. She would kill over there. jmo

Song list revealed for Loretta Lynn's album!
Carrie is singing "You're Looking at Country." Never heard of the song, but I will go check it out now!
Sharkbait from the FC found this from CountryAirCheck!
Track list to Coal Miner's Daughter: A Tribute To Loretta Lynn
Yes, Ma'am. What's The Question? When a country music icon like Loretta Lynn calls, the stars answer. At least, that's what the track list to the upcoming tribute album reveals. Lynn is celebrating 50 years in music with the Nov. 9 release Coal Miner's Daughter: A Tribute To Loretta Lynn, which features today's biggest names covering her biggest songs. Released exclusively to us Monday night (9/13), here's the list:
1. "Don't Come Home A Drinkin' (With Lovin' On Your Mind)" — Gretchen Wilson 2. "I'm A Honky Tonk Girl" — Lee Ann Womack 3. "Rated X" — The White Stripes 4. "You're Lookin' At Country" — Carrie Underwood 5. "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man" — Alan Jackson and Martina McBride 6. "You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man)" — Paramore 7. "Love Is The Foundation" — Faith Hill 8. "After The Fire Is Gone" — Steve Earle and Allison Moorer 9. "If You're Not Gone Too Long" — Reba 10. "I Know How" — Kid Rock 11. "Somebody Somewhere (Don't Know What He's Missin' Tonight)" — Lucinda Williams "Coal Miner's Daughter" — Loretta Lynn, Sheryl Crow and Miranda Lambert

^^ Again, what an honour to be handpicked by Loretta Lynn for her tribute album. Here is the original Loretta song, 'You're Lookin' At Country':

How funny that she's singing this song considering some people claim she's pop.
