I'm so glad to hear that we might get another album so soon! MOAIA was AMAZING! BTW, how did her tour do? Is there any chance that she might sign a contract with Live Nation?

I believe she would have to PROVE to Live Nation she has money making potential. LN is VERY strong in the tour department and her tour did pathetic for a 20-year-career-veteran that actually has HITS on the radio. U2, Madonna, and Bruce Springsteen get zero airplay and are selling out arenas and stadiums. Mariah can't even sell out local theaters and art houses. Embarrassing! Her best bet is to go to a new label that will allow HER to pick her singles. LA Reid picks ALL of her singles and she has little input. This is the man that picked Russian Roulette for Rihanna's LEAD single from her latest album. Just ridiculous. He could have almost KILLED that girls career.

^I can't believe Live Nation would sponsor that ish!!! I doubt they will go into business with her again. No matter what the capacity of the building was she always 1,000 short of capacity. Just ridiculous. Mariah needs to just go in the studio. Record 3 more POP uptempos..get her last 3 #1 Hot 100 singles and call it a wrap.

Mariah has not remained in the business simply to have the most #1 singles. She likes making music.

I was thinking, for some nice crossover appeal ballads/midtempos, she should not be opposed to collaboing with the likes of Mark Ronson or Toby Gad.

I doubt we'll see another album as quickly as we saw Memoirs come after E=MC2. That was fast. Probably too fast. I think the last time she put an album out that fast was when she put out CB after the "Glitter" fiasco. From what I remember, we had maybe 13 or 14 months between the "Glitter" and CB releases. She should take an extended break, come back refreshed and ready to go, and ready to work with a lot of different people, instead of just Dream.
I wouldn't mind if she did something else either, like try to do another Christmas album or even the much-talked about Broadway show. But really, I hope for her sake, if she wants to start a family, she should put all her professional obligations aside and do that instead.

All I want for the next album is to actually hear Mariah SING. None of this cooing baby voice business. That's what you do when you can't sing. Mariah CAN. I just want to hear that voice again, singing real songs.

Oh you're back...pleasant.
I've just realised after completely avoiding the track, how much I like Luda's verse on the Ribbon remix. The rest is rather blah, but Luda did well..!!

So what's happened to the mods? Apparently things have gone more awry than I thought- I thought it was just an April Fool's joke....
btw...I don't get the dancing in whipped butter thing, I have to be honest. Is it supposed to mean something? Mariah is smooth as whipped butter? I like it- can I use it as my avatar?

The only way we'd see another record so soon is if they had a bunch of songs they did not use for Memoirs, because they went with all Dream produced material. I think she'd be wise to wait a while though, and let some demand build up.

Here is a Mariah-centric forum for anyone who wants to take a break from Pulse while they sort out the mess....: jun1983.proboards25.com/index.cgi?It has gotten very very slow recently, so perhaps we can breathe some new life into it.

^^I think Ryan Tedder has some good tracks, but I do not think he's a good match for Mariah. I don't think it's the direction she should go in. She needs to just make some good honest music at this point, not go for "hits".

I cant lie...i honestly would love for Mariah to work with Ryan Tedder...Im sick of the same producers all the time:
Jermaine Dupri Bryan-Michael Cox Stargate The Neptunes James Big Jim Wright
A couple of songs co-written & co-produced by Ryan Tedder would be fresh!

How would that be fresh when he's already worked with tons of artists? A relative unknown would be "fresh."

It's not like he & Mariah previously collaborated

I Agree...and a HIT is what every artist need if they want to sell! An i mean a radio hit...not an itunes hit! I think a Mariah Carey & Ryan Tedder penned Ballad (A Standard ALA Bleeding Love & Halo) on radio would be a monster...and would slay as a first single worldwide release!

I don't see Mariah wanting/willing to collaborate with Ryan Tedder. She can always prove me wrong though.

Nothing that is "Ala" anything else. Something new. The LAST thing she should do is chase some two-year-old pop songs.
