??? WTF? Rap-Up is a very creditable source for music information. In addition, I expect Subu to mop the floor sales-wise against Mimi. Thirdly, MKOC was purchased 10 years ago so no need to buy another one.

That Grammy performance is so overrated. She lipped almost all of the hard parts. You can totally tell the bridge is entirely lipped up until when she comes back in with that awful note lol. MTV Movie Awards >> The Grammy performance is 100% live. Is beyond clear that she's singing. There are multiple parts that she lipsynched to re-recorded vocals. Just listen to the first verse into the chorus; her voice is so unstable. Then the instant the bridge hits she turns her head and it's suddenly so clear lol? Then when she stops lipping and goes into the big note it's a strain fest. I know it's a useless argument since we're never going to agree so I won't bother anymore lol. Here's one of my favorite Mariah performances ever: I cannot believe she lost Best Female Vocal that year. WTF.

OMG, that title. <3 Hope it's true.
BET Blueprint is by far and away the best performance of 'We Belong Together', in my opinion. I'm almost positive nothing is lipped.
The MTV Movie Awards performance is probably my second favorite.

Random, but some of my absolute favorite Mariah performances include:
"My Saving Grace" Live @ The Oprah Show "Make It Happen" Live @ Good Morning America "Petals" Live @ The Rosie Odonell Show "Reflections" Live @ A Home For The Holidays Special "Against All Odds" Live @ Homecoming Special "Butterfly" Live @ Saturday Night Live "My All" Live @ Saturday Night Live "Open Arms" Live @ Madison Square Garden "Anytime You Need A Friend" Live @ Tokyo Dome "Hero" Live @ A Tribute To Heroes (though many didn't like her vocals here, the performance itself was particularly touching to me) "We Belong Together" Live @ BET Blueprint & Oprah "Fly Like A Bird" Live @ A Shelter From The Storm "All I Want For Christmas Is You" Live @ Disney World "Forever" Live @ Tokyo Dome "Honey" Live in Hawaii "With You I'm Born Again" w/ John Legend Live @ Vh1 Save The Music "I'll Be There" Live @ Vh1 Save The Music
God. Listing all of this makes me so nostalgic.
ETA: Also, let me say I thoroughly enjoyed her performances on the MTV Through The Rain special.

The bridge of "Hero" at Tokyo Dome owns my soul so hard. I still remember my jaw dropping the first time I saw it.

Vocally her Daydream era is by far my favorite...love all her Japan concerts and her Madison Square Garden concert. There was hardly any backing vocals, you know she was in a great place vocally.. Also looks wise, she was sooooooo freakin HOT...Classy but sexy...

What I love about the MTV Awards performance are the B&W visuals and her red dress standing out: classy, ICONIC and powerful. :'( I also like her presence/expression on that performance. You could tell she was aware of the success and that she had that comeback on lock. And she nailed it. I totally agree with you. The "It's Like That" performance at Ellen was one of my favorite ones from that era. Not really because of her vocals but mostly because of the instrumentation. JD production is a bit cheap but that song sounded fantastic live. :)

BTW, for those who keep insisting that the WBT/Fly Like A Bird Grammy performance is lip ya'll blind and can't hear.
Please show me exactly were she's lipping. You can so tell she's singing, because 1) her voice doesn't sound exactly like the actual recording and 2) she's struggles a little with the low notes on WBT.
I watched that performance like 60 times, not even kidding. Mimi is singing 100% live.
You actually think she's going to lip in front all those (music industry) people? Get out of here.

She's lipping the climax of WBT. Period.

She lipped the entire bridge except for the very last note (which sounds like sh*t). I've been watching this sh*t for 10 years. I know lipping when I see it. I've watched that video over and over again in 1080 HD. That portion is lipped. Get over it. The only people who don't think it's lipped are the lambs and it's been that way since the day it aired.

It's NOT lipped? What's the next thing - she lipped FLAB as well? Maybe your video is not synced well? It's just crazy; everytime mariah sings well there are people who acuse her of lip syncing!

Their going with the Susan Boyle marketing route. If I recall, SuBo used QVC to help sell her album.

So funny that it comes from the mouth od Britney and Perry's stan. LMFAO.1st: I stan for Mariah over any other artist. Everyone knows that in Pulse, you can check my last.fm or you can go through past Mariah's threads if you need any confirmation. 2nd: even if I were Britney's or Katy's stan, using that as your argument to weaken my opinion just shows how you don't really have a solid argument at all. I can be a fan of a crappy singer and still be able to tell when a great singer is lipping. So, really, if you don't have anything to say, avoid clicking on Reply. Thanks. Exactly. It's so clear.

^ solid argument: it's not lip syncing. what kind of solid argument should I give you? Maybe you should give a solid argument. Any other that doesn't include discrediting other singers... LOL, that's very immature. Mike already gave a solid argument showing exactly which part was lipped and which part was not, he gave all the details. If it doesn't convince you still, no problem. I still know it's lipped regardless of which other singers I may listen to.

...part of the performance is lipped. I think it's kind of obvious. Mariah is one of the worst lip syncers of all time.

I'd have to agree with Mike and r.enato here; it's clear to me she lipped certain parts of the performance. Mariah was always an artist, at least for me, whose lipping was pretty obvious. It's all in her face and mannerisms.
