Only getting into Alejandro now AC is probably the slowest format. Paparazzi got top 15 there when Bad Romance was peaking on pop . Alejandro looks to last 20 weeks on the pop chart which is better than most artists

shouldn't this thread be bumped in the formats it's rising on? This is done on CHR.

i think its safe to say alejandro had a pretty good run. i just wish it would have made it to number one :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( It was a good run, but not that good for Gaga. I wish it made it too :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( It should fare well in the EOY charts because, being her final single from the album, she won't have new material for months, so radio will keep this on decent rotation as they won't have a new song bulleting up the charts, and it should have very good recurrent airplay. By the way, I think you should fix up your signature because I can't see the full thing. Hopefully the bit I can't see is interesting

6 CHR number ones
5 top 5 hot100 singles
4 uk number ones
3 us digital number onesI also see the tops of the next line but not enough that I can read. Is it just me?

I'm just surprised you claim to like GaGa yet find a signature about her accomplishments uninteresting.

I'm just surprised you claim to like GaGa yet find a signature about her accomplishments uninteresting. Where did I say what I can see is uninteresting? I said I hope what I can't see is interesting. I like the first part, but I think the rest of the sig would bring it all together (such as, you don't say "seven #1's and four top fives" you might say "seven #1's, four top fives, this artist has broken 5 records.. congratulations Lady Gaga" or something like that). And I do like Gaga.

From this week's Billboard 200 thread:
Lady Gaga's The Fame rebounds from #13 to #8 in the wake of the star's performance last week on the Today show. This is the album's 48th week in the top 10. It's just five weeks away from matching Shania Twain's Come On Over for the longest run in the top 10 by an album that never reached #1 (at least since 1963, when Billboard merged its separate stereo and mono charts into one comprehensive listing.) The Fame has sold 3,568,000 copies, which is the heftiest total of any album in this week's top 40.
8. Lady Gaga, The Fame, 29,000. The album rebounds from #13 to #8 in its 89th week. This is its 48th week in the top 10. Six songs from the expanded version of the album are listed on Hot Digital Songs, topped by "Alejandro," which jumps from #17 to #13.

Unfortunately I don't think The Fame will match or surpass Shania's record unless it gets some major grammy nods.

Doesn't that already disqualify it from breaking Shania's record?

This was the best choice for the last single. It's forsure top 3 of her radio releases in my selections.
What is currently happening at radio should easily end the debate regarding "Monster". Awesome album track but not a single forsure.
Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) is getting added and spun in favor of any of the unreleased tracks. This girl is gonna have another awesome era ahead!
Can't wait!
I hope Eh, Eh .... takes off on it's own so a new thread can happen.

I love the song, and making the top fifty would be great.. but I don't want her streak to go 1-1-1-1-1-1-4-49. #51 or #5

Australia has always embraced GaGa earlier. Just Dance was a #1 hit there months before it even made the top 40 in the US. It does make sense to release material there first.

What is that Remixes CD coming out in August? Didn't one just come out a few months ago? A remix album was released in the UK and some other countries a few weeks back. I wonder if the U.S. edition will have different mixes which are more U.S.-oriented.

Ok. I thought it was odd. Canada also got it a few months back and I picked it up. It surprises me that the U.S. didn't get it yet though.

Canada got the Hitmixes EP (released 8/25/09) which no other country except possibly Japan got, which had 7 Gaga remixes. Gaga has always charted earlier in Canada and most often charted better, so I'm not surprised.
