Breakaway
Since U Been Gone, Breakaway, Behind These Hazel Eyes, Addicted, Because of You, Gone, and Walk Away are all epic songs. Besides the fact that it was more successful than both of the other albums combined, Kelly has stellar vocals and the songs are well written/high quality. If there ever really was a "perfect" era, this grammy winning album comes close. One of (if not the best) best pop albums of the decade. Enough said.

Blackout is pretty much like an explosion of sound, so it's hard to come up against that. While P!nk and Kelly may have the voices and may even have better song-writing skills as lyricists I would say they both failed to achieve what Blackout did. Blackout's production is simply outstanding so even though it might be all up-tempo's or all club music it's sound ends up saying more then either Kelly or P!nk do with their songs about domestic drama and political agenda's. Blackout is one of the few albums that I think could end up qualifying as pop art in it's field.
While Kelly and P!nk have been outdone by numerous rock/folk/indie bands who were trying to accomplish similar merits. Florence + The Machine anyone?

Blackout
Gimme More, Piece of Me, Radar, Break The Ice, Heaven on Earth, Get Naked, Freak Show, Toy Soldier, Hot as Ice, Ooh Ooh Baby, Perfect Lover are all epic. Despite the fact that it's been the most influential pop album of the last decade, Britney's songs are high quality, reflected her life-art, her sadness, her happiness, and made strong social commentaries against the media and the public. Enough said.

^^ The poll is asking which record is best for YOU, regardless of commercial/critical success.

What do sales have to do with musical influence? Didn't say it wasn't influential; it's just kind of hard to believe it would be without even reaching platinum status. You realize that 99.9% of mainstream music is lifted from independently produced/alternative music released prior to said mainstream music, right? And FYI - Blackout has scanned damn near 1 million copies, it hasn't been certified Platinum, but it's there.

^^ The poll is asking which record is best for YOU, regardless of commercial/critical success. I know, but someone brought up it was one of the most influential albums. I think that's a bit odd if not even a million people bought the album. But, nevermind.. As far as which is best for ME, I picked Breakaway and I stated my reasons why.

What subsequent artists and/or albums has Blackout influenced? ???
Britney's own Circus and perhaps Madonna's Hard Candy are the only two I recall ever hearing mentioned in regard to a possible Blackout influence.

BlackoutSt!nk and Kelesbian could never. Of course they could never. When was the last time either of them had sex with men? Obviously, it wasn't with men, it was with each other. Breakaway was about finally crossing over to the lesbian side of things in a tryst between the two girls, and Kelly released it as a declaration of lesbianhood. Then the breakup happened, and they both channeled their lesbian angst into albums, whilst taking pot shots at each other in their videos. The Stupid Girls video was about how Kelly had gotten so skinny just to be famous and how it turned P!nk off, especially because of the assistance of drugs, to which she alluded in the Who Knew video. Kelly trashed P!nk's apartment in Since U Been Gone in response, but then repented and confessed her dreams of moving to Canada to get married in Behind These Hazel Eyes. Because of You was when she hit rock bottom and didn't think she could go on living a heterosexual lie. But while this self-realization was going on, P!nk, who was already confident in her power lesbian persona, was experimenting with men for fun, and released a video chronicling her experiences ( U + Ur Hand). This made Kelly terribly jealous, and she realized they weren't getting back together and made the video for Walk Away as her final kiss-off. While Breakaway and I'm Not Dead are both great albums, the fact that they are lesbian odysseys cancels out their merit; therefore, Blackout wins.
