I don't have a problem with her weight, but man, put on some nice clothes! I know nothing about fashion, but she looked hideous! I'm sure if she starts dressing better people will stop making comments about her weight.

Sorry, but this was pretty bad. The lyrics were awfully cheesy and the melody was boring. I think James is a great singer and I love Nelly, but this just didn't work at all.

Well, Jewel's new album, Lullaby, is OUT! The album is as country as it can be for a lullabies album and Jewel truly shines. Take a listen to "The Cowboy's Lament". It's gorgeous! music.aol.com/new-releases-full-cds/#/4

You should try stores with Kids section, like Walmart/Toys R Us...
Anyway, this album is SO AMAZING!!!! I think Jewel is FINALLY seeing where she truly shines. Even though I love the fact that she's very eclectic and prolific, this is where she she's at her best! Hope to see a decent debut for this, cause it's an independent release, so...

Review from People:
3 1/2 out of 4 stars.
Here's the review... "Mom's who feel like they were singing along to "You Were Meant for Me" just yesterday - it's been 12 years! - can introduce their tots to the folky singer, whose calming voice is perfect for songs like "Daydream Land"
Review from All Music
3 stars
Clearly intended to appear at the end of Jewel's run on Dancing with the Stars -- a run that was pre-empted due to injury -- Lullaby finds her delivering her first children's album, appropriately appearing on Fisher Price Records. That label and title, along with versions of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," and "Brahms Lullaby," are the strongest indication that Lullaby is intended for little ones; if it was taken as pure sound, it's almost indistinguishable from Jewel's earliest albums, particularly her crawling portentous sophomore effort, Spirit. To her credit, Jewel never panders to kids, never creates something sickly sweet or cutesy, she merely delivers a collection of lullabies intended to relax and soothe. She succeeds so well in that regard that none of the individual songs stand out, they all blend together in a sweet, sometimes haughty sigh, something that will ease plenty of children into slumber.

I love both singer a lot, they are my favorites, and they both have amazing voices. But, I think Jewel has an overall more eclectic voice, going from really low notes to high ones and always sounding good. Sarah has a very soothing voice but her range is not as expressive.

Yeah, this song has something strange about it, something's missing. I think it lacks a climax and a better ending. Dare I say, I think it lacks a more powerhouse performance. Don't get me wrong, I think Miranda is a great singer and I like her much more than any belters out there, but I think that, FOR THIS SONG, somebody else (Martina maybe?) could have done it better, which is a shame... Anyway, still looking forward to the album!

I loved Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (the album), it's one of my favorites from 2008. This song is good, I like it, but it's rather different than the CEG stuff, which is good I guess. I don't love it and I don't think she *shines* here, but I'm sure the album will have plenty of stuff I'm gonna love. ??? I thought Crazy Ex GF was 2007? Anyway I must say I love her new sound but to me Miranda cant do no wrong. The best thing she could do right now for her career is assassinate Taylor and Carrie and she would own the charts. ;) Well, I got it last year, so...

OMG, she was so terrible on AI! Poor judges, they were dying! They would have sent her home if they could!

Ok, I'm very behind this and sorry to be hating in here, but really, what's up with the clothes this woman wears? I just saw her SNL and I know she gained weight and all, but really, at least dress your age! She could have rocked a leather jacket and that would have looked better. Anyway, anyone one knows if she has a stylist or she's become too good for that?

I'm probably wrong, but I really think the album cover is a turn off. I'm not sure a straight guy would be comfortable buying that... I know I wouldn't...

This new chick Jesse James sounds bizarrely similar to Christina Aguilera.

Before These Crowded Streets is their best album easily. It's such a classic, it should be heard by anyone who enjoys good music!

I know this is not that country, but Jewel's releasing her new album, Lullaby, on May 5th. It's more of a folk and, well, lullaby feel. And since it's labeled coutry on iTunes, I thought I'd share :) isn't this more of a kid thing, since on the side of the photo it says "fisher-price"? Well, you see, the songs aren't kiddie songs, they are lullabies, great to put you kid to sleep, but also for adults to listen and chill. Most of the tunes are just Jewel and her guitar, it's very acoustic, but if you check her rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow on iTunes, which is gonna be on the album, you can see it's slightly country, whatever that means actually. Anyway, she's just started pre-production on her next country album, so we'll get to that later.

Her ballads are good, but I agree that her strengh is really the upbeat tunes, IMO. I like Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, the album, quite a bit, but my favorites are the upbeat ones.

Jewel sang this classic yesterday, on Dancing With The Stars and got a standing ovation, along with the couple that danced (awesomely, by the way). It's gonna be in her new album, Lullaby, to be released on May 5th. AND, it's just been released to iTunes, it's now a "What's Hot" song. Check it out! www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAQgQXSRHc4

Jewel taped a skit for Jimmy Kimmel that's gonna air Tuesday and has started pre-production on her next country album! She has already recorded 4 demos: “My Father’s Daughter,” “Stay Here Forever,” “Happily Ever After” and “The Shape of You.” Oh, the skit is gonna be so funny - Jewel will make fun of her teeth, as they are great can openers... her blog: www.jeweljk.com/?em1=794_-1__0_~0_-1_3_2009_0_0&content=news

She sounds disturbingly similar to Christina Aguilera. It's gonna be tough for her to break out IMO, whenever people hear the song they'll think it's new Christina...
