Yes! This is my favorite off the album and I was waiting for it to be released... let's just hope radio feels the same way... who knows, with G&L being a top 10 hit, anything could happen.

Sa-Weeeet! I'm really glad to see them muster up the gonads to release this. Since were already nearing the later part of the summer , I think this is perfect timing for a ballad. I hope this can manage to be her second top ten-er.

I still think Love Letters is the standout track and should have been released instead of this.
Maybe once it's released I'll like it better.

This song is beautiful. I hope it does well for her and shows listeners that she can sing beautiful ballads too :)

Love it -- to me, this and Love Letters are the best ballads on the album. I know I was in the minority on this board, but I like this a lot more than Desperation (the other choice). Her voice and interpretation of this song is beautiful.

It should be "Desperation" but this is good too. I don't think it will do nearly as good as "Desperation," though.

Darn, I was hoping for Love Letters or Desperation. This song is ok, but I don't think it's very radio-friendly (although I thought the same thing about G&L), so I don't expect it to do much better than her pre-G&L songs (probably a high-teen, low 20's type of peak).

Peak at #18. I'd love to be wrong and have this turn into her first #1 though.

I'm with the majority opinion here:
I think "Desperation" or especially "Love Letters" are better songs..... and possibly better singles, I guess we'll see after MLH has had its run.
But I'm ok with "More Like Her". It's still an excellent song, VERY beautifully performed. I think the song is perfect in every way, but I just don't think it's a perfect single.
I can easily see a chart run similar to any of her songs pre-Gunpowder & Lead. But then, seeing G&L's success, I can see this one hitting top ten as well.
Is radio going to play a ballad from an artist who has had better success and is more known for her rowdy uptempos? (crap, Gretchen Wilson just flashed in my head)

I get what you mean bigbluenote.
However, I'm part of the minority. Go MLH!

People may be right that "Desperation" and "Love Letters" are better single choices...
But "More Like Her" is her best song...EVER!

(crap, Gretchen Wilson just flashed in my head) Gretchen had success with WITAC which is definitely a slower song, she has had some slow songs flop also (ex/ Come To bed), but at that time even her 'rowdy uptempos' were flopping... you just never know for certain how radio will react to any song by any artist, slow or fast...

But "More Like Her" is her best song...EVER! I would have to say There's a Wall is her best song ever. More Like Her is ok but kinda blah to me and I don't see it catching on at radio.

My choice would've been "Love Letters" then "Desperation" and then "More Like Her". I love "Love Letters" but also love this song so I'm just hoping it is a hit.

Miranda's people are really missing out by not sending "Desperation" out as the next single. I know that's what Miranda really wanted, and I think that song is her best bet to have another Top 10 single.
Following the success of "Gunpowder & Lead" I think "Desperation" would easily make T10. It's catchy, mid-tempo and also very solid in composition. It's probably my favorite off the album after G&L.
"More Like Her" is very good lyrically and it touches upon a pretty interesting subject, but I think it's probably too slow and will come off boring to the casual listener. I won't be shocked if it misses the Top 20 all together, unfortunately.

But that's the thing. She needs a ballad out to show her versatility...a mid-tempo wouldn't really do that.

I like this one, but I'm not a huge fan (especially when it comes to the chorus, although Miranda does redeem it somewhat with the way she sings the last part of each line there). My minority opinion is that this is a stronger radio track than "Desperation" and "Love Letters" (both of which I like better than "More Like Her"). I actually don't think "Desperation" would have fared all that well, because it doesn't have that hook to grab the passive listener to whom radio tends to cater. Could be wrong, of course. I also think that it will be easier for people to connect to the melody and lyrics of "More Like Her" than "Desperation."
So does the melody of the verses of this one remind anyone else of the melody of the verses of "Whiskey Lullaby"?

I like it, I think it was time for a calmer song from Miranda to show some diversity.

I love this song, but I have this feeling it won't perform all that well on radio, but hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

this is kind of a surprise to me...i like miranda's album fully, but didn't expect this to be a single. I just hope dry town gets released eventually (even though i'm betting it won't :( )
