I haven't seen any. "Launch" is in the Dark Ages and hasn't updated for Macintosh.

Lose My Breath is definitely going to be the biggest hit of the three... it's the most instant song of the three. But a lot of this is just Des Chi hype... I think "I'm Good" is the best production.....
I'm still obsessed with LMB though.

"Naughty Girl" was overall the least succesful of Beyoncé's, singles; you may not have like MM&I but it did well and was a better performance from her.
BEP's music sounds like Jock Jams :-\
Christina's 4th single sucked, I don't know how it got up to #12. It didn't have much longevity if I remember correctly.
"My Boo" is going to be bigger than "Confessions" and maybe bigger than "Burn", and it has Alicia keys... it definitely wins. Except it wasn't on the original album, it's more like the first single off the re-release... actually that's what it is. It's not a 4th single.
In that case it's a 3-way loss btwn the others.

Definitely Brandy. I don't quite understand why she's doing so poorly, the material is above average.

"Best Of My Love" I'd vote for "Emotions" but Mariah got the inspiration from "BOML" anyway.

unless Eminem doesn't have a hit at radio at the time, b/c LMB for DC is huge.

I give it to "You Don't Know My Name" only because I've heard it less recently than the other two, so I'm not really burned on it.

First of all, at the time of AYTS? Urban airplay wasn't factored into the total. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out how much that would have helped it. Also, where did you get the Hot 100 Airplay stat? Are they online? ugh, even if it had helped it, it would have helped all of brandy's singles too. why can't you give it up. she was not as succesful in any QUANTITATIVE way. WHATSOEVER. that's not arguable.

But for the record, my intention for defending Aaliyah as much as I have wasn't to compare to Brandy, but to show that she was just as popular before her death because so many people are trying to make it sound like she was a struggling C-list artist when she was one of Urban music's main stars. of course she was, no one really ever contested that. but she was still secondary to brandy and monica.

No, you think again. If AYTS? was released as a single and sold ZERO copies it would've peaked at #4 on the Hot 100. #4 alone would be "way better" and that wouldn't even be throwing sales into the picture. first of all, counting that song (or the rest of her non-commercial singles) still wouldnt make up for how much better the other two did. secondly your logic is faulty. it hit #4 airplay, that doesn't mean with zero copies it would have made #4. for example the #5 song in airplay could have still sold more than aaliyah even if she'd had a commercial single. heck, the #20 airplay song could have sold more, technically.

Ugh, THEY COULDNT BUY AALIYAH'S SINGLES BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT FOR SALE!Is it THAT hard to understand? i already addressed that. back in those days, why weren't commercial singles released? if the label had felt it would sell 500,000 like many of brandy's, or 1,000,000 like many of monica's, they would have put it out as a single. the only other reason they wouldn't release a single is to try to raise album sales-- her sales were still behind brandy's. believe it or not, most of the songs that had high sales had high airplay! and sort of vice versa, too. if you think all of aaliyah's singles would have miraculously done way better with a single... think again. and even then the fact remains that there WERE no singles so she DID sell less so she WAS less succesful. who cares WHY she didnt sell singles, the important fact is she didnt. that means less people bought Aaliyah discs, and she did less well on the charts = less success. "IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND"?

You keep using the Hot 100 as a the tell-all for singles success. You can't, because many of Aaliyah singles weren't released. And I'm getting really tired of saying this over and over, so I won't again, have a field day using that data to your advantage. But saying Aaliyah was in a lower league than the other 2 is absolutely insane. She had just as much influence (if not more), had just as much hype, just as much name-recognition in the music world, the only thing she didn't have was Brandy's sales. Hot 100 is the best b/c it's not genre specific. You act like the fact that a million people bought Brandy's singles and not Aaliyah's singles has no significance. AALIYAH DID NOT HAVE AS MUCH HYPE, INFLUENCE, AND ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY NOT AS MUCH NAME RECOGNITION AS BRANDY...... ALBUM sales: Brandy: 4x platinum, 5x, 1x, not yet gold = "10 million certified" Aaliyah: 2x platinum (1x pre mortum), 2x, 2x, 1x = "7 million certified" (Monica: 3x platinu, 3x, gold) = "6.5 million ceritifed" SINGLE sales: Brandy: gold, 1x platinum, gold, 1x, 2x = "5 million certified" Aaliyah: gold, gold, gold = "1.5 million certified" (Monica: 1x platinum, 1x, gold, 1x, 2x, 1x, 1x = "7.5 million certified" Keep in mind that Monica's had only 3 albums to Aaliyah and Brandy's FIVE. Making her single's record, both chart-wise and sales-wise, most impressive. But this is just more evidence of Aaliyah not being as big.

Proved me wrong? I only failed to acknowledge that one because it was so obvious that I was right. "Try Again" was the first ever song to hit the Hot 100 #1 on airplay alone. It was a huge hit, sorry. it was only the first song to hit #1 w/ airplay b/c it came at the right time. if it had been released a few weeks later, it would have been the second song, you know? it was a big hit yeah, i mean it hit #1. but ALL the other songs brandy and monica sent to #1 hit #1 in airplay, too, PLUS sales. and they all had longer stays than "try again"! this is the rankings for the Hot 100 #1s: 1 The Boy Is Mine - Brandy/Monica 2 The First Night - Monica 3 Angel of Mine - Monica 4 Have You Ever? - Brandy 5 Miss You - Aaliyah 6 Try Again - Aaliyah See, Aaliyah really does come last. She also loses out if you rank the R&B #1s. She also loses if you rank Hot 100 top 10s. She does do better if you rank R&B top 10s, but only because of the string of 5 hits she had post-mortum. Monica pretty much beats here there now too thanks to "After the Storm", and will continue to beat here. Keep in mind that Brandy has released a lot more singles too-- even though she had a lot if smallish hits or songs that really didn't do too well, even being able to release singles adds to your status. And Brandy's first three albums sold the most.

it's just Brandy hands down, I did all that analysis I don't know why people are still arguing it. The only criteria in which Aaliyah wins is direct comparisons post-Never Say Never.

That's he problem with this board. You know certain people will rank songs higher or lower based on the person who's sending it, or who the artist is. I for one will be honest and will listen to every song. I can't speak for anyone else though. we could probably do it so that the song's artist is anonymous as well as who picked it. we would just need someone to moderate it, so only that one person would know who picked the song. maybe we should do it that way.

Looks like it... expect his first solo single to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 in the near future.

No. The Hot 100 is just tracking what's the most popular song at radio. The joke is the music industry.

"Car Wash" is only good for it's novelty factor, it's not actually a good song. "My Prerogative" is though (it's such a strange word.. P-R-E-R-O??? it looks Italian).
