It is AMAZING to see her moving and working a stage possibly for the first time this era(?) So much more energy behind the song and performance and comes through on TV a lot better.

The dance break at the end of this really is next level. The rest of the song is just a biiiit dated and you can feel the 2NE1 energy in it, but once it shifts gears the whole thing is elevated.

Okay it's very good and impeccably made BUT I need the good sis to stretch her legs and creative muscle a little bit more. She's so talented and needs to experiment because it feels kind of like a waste to have her putting out so many of the same mellow sounding songs.
Too Proud is out there, and I like Chikai quite a bit, but it's time for her to go all out and blow our minds.

A home in LA certainly points to more TV gigs in the future. If she's committing to those, she will want to be living in a place of her own, rather than hotels or long-term temporary housing.
Still completely gagged waiting for this tour.

A cute summer bop. Hopefully this helps push them towards more success stateside, because they deserve it.

This is POWERFUL. KPop is filling the boy- and girlgroup need that the US industry is neglecting.
I think they have two English speakers, which would make them primed for a crossover. However, YG is trash and it will never happen.

The back and forth between Carrie and Kelly is too much right now and I refuse to accept it is a coincidence. Please let them have a duet on Carrie's new album and queens can each gather another #1

For me, this just isn't good enough to crack airplay or into the mainstream conciousness. If they are serious about being more than just a flash-in-the-pan in the US, they need to appeal to people beyond their existing fan base. This crossover attempt has, musically, been everything I feared about a Kpop attempt, and I say that as a fan. It's been shortsighted, over-relying on the Army without making an appeal to the general public. Their label needs to commit to getting them to global stardom, or pull back. Going halfsies won't cut it.
I'm rooting for them and think Kpop is increasingly going to be a part of the charts in the US, but I am gagging to see it done right.

I hope returning to indie status can let her flex and explore to find a strong sound. Her debut was immense and confident, and she is a FORCE live.

This lacks some of the wow moments of Genius, but feels more radio friendly and commercial. I hope this group ends up delivering a solid album.

I can't at Pink's 80th Funhouse retread outselling Meaning Of Life's total sales just this year alone. Smh... Glad to see all the Kacey love though! Pink's tour bundle did wonders for her debut, but I'm surprised at the longevity without a radio hit.

I'm dead. This is going to be her "Believe" and I'm truly shook.
She has been on fire with her brand the past two years and this is such a good tongue and cheek self-reference.

Her style of pixie cute indie pop girl is having a bit of a bubbling-under moment right now, where it could be the next big thing on CHR, or wither on the vine, so it will be interesting how they can slot her in the scene.

I was pretty sure they'd push a third single, likely "Heat," more aggressively, but now I'm kind of siding with the camp that the album era is mostly coming to a close, outside of the (ALLEGED) tour. They could toss an adds date to a third single, but I wouldn't expect much in the way of promo or a video. That they didn't use the BBMAs to officially launch WLW (or any song) as the next single, and are using her next performance slot for "American Woman" (though, this might be more of a network obligation/opportunity than anything else), kind of spells the promotional end of the era. It's a tough pill to swallow given how great the album is, but her celebrity status is 2012 high, if not even higher. I agree that the best course of action is a killer winter soundtrack single, and/or a hip hop/R&B collab--especially if the plan is still to go deeper in the R&B/soul sound for the next album. I think Atlantic was smart to focus on her legacy and celebrity status as much as the music itself given where she was at coming into this era, and think that she's poised to be equally successful, if not more so, with the next album. And while this project did seem geared toward a more commercial comeback, I think this level of success-- gold first single, 200Kish album sales, increased national presence, Grammy nom, is enough to satisfy all parties at this stage of her career. Not sure we'll see quite the same promotional push next time around, but also hoping she won't need it quite as much to begin with. I think these are the big points. The Voice coaching and the Billboard hosting were two major steps for her to extend her career beyond music and they were both wildly successful. Her management is helping her steer into a lane where she becomes a media/lifestyle figure who still releases music. Her sales and streams will never peak like the used to and aren't enough to be her "main" income (and even on that front, she has a much better rights setup with Atlantic than she did with RCA). She's in a fantastic spot in her career, and the fact that all of her moves during this transition have succeeded thus far is impressive.

I think MOL is done, and tbh, it was kind of DOA commercially, looking back. I'd love her to hop on 1. An actually good soundtrack single for some big movie and/or 2. (Finally) Be a featured artist on another DJ/Rapper's track. I think that's a great way to get Kelly some points with the streaming crowd, and let her dip her toes in some other genres. She's done it successfully with country, why not another genre? And I also need her to have a monthly/seasonal variety show on NBC this Spring. I think a high profile Country and a high profile Pop feature this year would do wonderful things for her. Look, if Country radio will spin Bebe Rexha..... She has a bit of control over who she can work with at this point, but I think she's too "generous" to smaller artists, possibly due to her struggles lining up schedules and projects with other A-list acts. Atlantic needs to push something to make it happen *COUGH*Clean Bandit*COUGH*. Oh, and semi-related, I would really like for her to work with Danger Mouse next record.

I think, tour aside, MoL is essentially over, with the Mother's Day video and being the capstone of the new album collateral and The Voice finale being the "official" end.
I wouldn't be surprised if we got a long music break and some sort of collab tour in lieu of a full MoL Tour, but I am keeping my hopes up for a classy theater tour for MoL. If Xtina is doing the Chicago Theater, so can Kelly.

And you can mark my word that all 12 of her Voice team will participate in the tour in some shape or form. Including including that lesbian whose name I've already forgotten. I'm honestly anticipating her final contestant will be an opener for the tour.

I low key wish High Horse would pull a Pumped Up Kicks-like run this summer. It's got such a good vibe for summer, but while the chorus is catchy, it's not quite the relentless ear worm that PUK is.

Unbelievable.
He was one of the biggest forces that mainstreamed EDM and DJs as unique artists. True still goes all the way off, and I can't believe it's only 5 years old.

I like the general sound (the Funk Wav-meets-House is cool) but it definitely could benefit from a stronger juxtaposition between the verses and chorus to give it more instant oomph.
tbh this makes me feel like I'm in H&M

This is an amazing album. "Unchained from country" is the best description. It is clearly rooted in that tradition, but twists it in all the right places to make something new.

High Horse is a next-level elevation for her. Pageant Material was a very natural step from Same Trailer, but this is like, passing through a portal and transcending into a new dimension.
