Sounds like generic 2014 music that would show up on the Hype Machine weekly viral songs. And not the good kind.

I think what makes this year so interesting is that all genres seem to be huge atm (pop, country, hip hop, alternative, and folk). It’s rare to see such diverse representation, especially with most of the hits being from newcomers.

Once again reinforcing that this year is the best/most exciting year in pop music since 2012.

This sounds like: what if Caroline Polachek wanted to become a pop mainstay?

I think this year is the best year for pop music since 2012.

I think this is a stellar pop song, but the attention for it kind of fizzled out amidst the plethora of music and random songs that got big during the last month. Hope it can pick back up.

Jack Antonoff produced one of Kendrick’s diss tracks.

The Gracie Abrams song sounds like it will get a huge boost in streaming. Wouldn’t be surprised if she scores a hit with this.

They should send the AI version to CHR/Pop. Nothing on the new album sounds like CHR/Pop material.

The album really lacks the band's signature arena-ready anthems (e.g., "Rollercoaster", "Don't Take the Money", "Stop Making This Hurt").

I thought Midnights had a lot of filler, but this new album is just like that, without the smash hit the prev. album clearly had ("Anti-Hero").

It uses the famous four chords of pop music. When I first heard it I was thinking the verses had similar melody to Halsey’s You Should Be Sad

This album was too average and got lost in shuffle amidst all the busy releases this month, but this is a nice track.

I just cannot get into this guy’s stuff. I only ever liked the one song he did where he samples the Buttercup song.

It’s really good. Much more pop friendly than any NewJeans songs.

I like this a lot, but I can see their old fans hating it. The bridge lyric "I'm only really me when I'm here with you" reminds me of that one Taylor Swift song.

What is the story behind the Artemas song? The charts are looking very interesting with new (and old) alternative acts all over the place around top 20.

Very influenced by mid 2000s Beck/Gorillaz songs (e.g., "Go It Alone" or "Kids with Guns") and better than most stuff put out by Beck/Gorillaz in recent years.

This sounds like a mix of Gnarls Barkley, Hozier, and even The Black Keys. It's great.
