:( at Stone Sours sales. That's a great album. Disappointing after what Come What(ever) May debut at.
That is a good hold for Katy if that proves to be accurate. I mean technically it will be platinum whenever Katy's label decides to certify it. It did ship 1,000,000 copies. ;) But will the sales be over 1,000,000? Maybe but i wouldn't say easily. It's got to have good hold's like this for a while.
Also hope Em get's it.

How many albums can be #1 in their 12th week after they've debuted at #1? Eminem's popularity is quite impressive.

I think it shows that if you have been in the industry for a long time a lot of people will buy everything they put out no matter what. I have been buying Eminem albums since 2000. It's now 2010. Some have been buying him since '1999. So it helps that he's been around so long. Also when you have a hit song on the radio that of course helps but as we have seen..for newer artists that really doesnt translate to record sales.

The problem is how to have a hit single when you've been around for 10 years or more. It's not easy and that makes his success even more astounding. And rap is not the no. 1 genre atm.

Katy's consistency is great, proves that you don't have to have a massive first week to be successful, the NOW 35 disc looks like it's really holding up greatly too

With the VMA promo (he is opening the show) I wonder if Eminem has a chance to return to #1 the week after this week with more than 100k copies. I guess it depends what's out next week, but it would be a great feat. However, this week, Sara for #1 please.

Sara B better snatch the number 1 from Eminem, though it probably won't happen :(. Ugh.

He's also heading to New York to wrap up the "Home and Home" tour with Jay-Z early next week, so I do think he can eye another 100K week. Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus

Linkin Park is releasing. Don't know how much that will sell. I don't like them but if Eminem is like at 100K as much as i hope that will be #1 i have a hard time seeing linkin park not doing more than that.
