So happy this is #1 for a 2nd week. It shows everyone who all thought this song couldn't do it that she COULD!! One of the best songs of the year, imo.

A high debut for first-week airplay only by Rihanna! Should soar 75 - (top 5) next week.

A high debut for first-week airplay only by Rihanna! Should soar 75 - (top 5) next week. i'm guessing 75 to 3 next week :]] & if it just so happens to jump to number 1 (not saying it will, calm down!) that would make it the 5th biggest jump to no. 1 after: # 97-1 - Kelly Clarkson — "My Life Would Suck Without You" (February 7, 2009) # 96-1 - Britney Spears — "Womanizer" (October 25, 2008) # 80-1 - T.I. featuring Rihanna — "Live Your Life" (October 18, 2008) # 78-1 - Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent - "Crack a Bottle" (February 21, 2009)

I'd love to see inflation adjusted airplay. ??? What would "inflation adjusted airplay" be? The only manner in which you could adjust for airplay "inflation" is if you did these audience impression numbers relevant to the country's population, which isn't really growing rapidly enough to make such a huge difference. If you're talking about pre-BDS/Mediabase airplay, there isn't any way to really surmise that data unfortunately.

What do you mean? If Rihanna has changed it's a gradual thing but if you look at interviews her personality is the same, she's older so that's normal if you see changes with GaGa I mean EVERYTHING, I really do commend her vision for the world but shes so phony she hasnt been sincere since shes gotten big and u fans and herself still try to act like she does way more then she really does, bitch has producers just like everyone else. Rihanna's obviously got that thing cause if it was just the producers Commander would have done this exact same thing no? (zoom to #1) Stop undercrediting, it's the power of her name and bitch has earned it, so has GaGa but its Y'ALL that give her 2 much.. remember this girl? www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dP_9IbhIikoh how one can change with success. u cant even turn this back on rihanna cause it doesnt apply at all, never does rihanna act like shes more then what she is and im not throwing shade i brought this up cause u started doing the typical overcrediting gaga BS. OMG @ that vide :o ! Other than the physical appearance, I would never recognize that Lady Gaga from just a year and half ago. She seems so down-to-earth, charming, endearing, thankful for her fame, and most shockingly cute when teaching those dance moves to the show co-hosts. The Lady Gaga today has done a 180, a turn which likely grabs the headlines. Sadly, since the more "edgy/controversial" character is what is putting her in media, she will likely not be playing her pre-fame characeter any time soon.... How exactly would you describe her acceptance speeches at the VMA's this year? They certainly weren't "edgy" or unthankful. She was extremely down-to-earth and as thankful anyone could be. Don't confuse the persona she plays in her videos and performances with the real Stefani.

Or perhaps fabricate them based on their own bias. Am I confused? I had thought that comment was in reference to the other post I'd quoted. If it was an attempt to revive the unproductive topic of conversation that rightfully died yesterday, my mistake.

Deja Vu - Beyoncé - 592,000 Ring the Alarm - Beyoncé - 586,000 For a #4 song and a #11 those totals are ridiculous. IASF was way more successful than BDay

Deja Vu - Beyoncé - 592,000 Ring the Alarm - Beyoncé - 586,000 For a #4 song and a #11 those totals are ridiculous. IASF was way more successful than BDay You need to remember what year those songs were released.

You need to remember what year those songs were released. And what airplay they received. And the fact that both songs didn't received a lot of Pop airplay, the format that fuels the majority of digital sales.

And the fact that both songs were not hit songs...that great for radio (although Deja Vu is memorable to me because it was the first new song that came out after my graduation) and sales suffered. Irreplaceable came out right after but was a hit. No need to downplay and make excuses.

Hey I'm not hating, just stating the obvious, that sales for those two songs are very low.
Irreplaceable was the song that saved that album.... and man, what an enormous hit it was.
Also, in terms of impact IASF > BDay
