I'm starting to think Donna & Chic may never get inducted even though Abba made it.

Donna Summer became eligible in 1999. As you can see, Neil Diamond and Darlene Love have been eligible since 1988- and, if they indeed are inductees, that's a 22-year wait. So, anything is possible.
The acts who get in on instant eligibility are the undisputed no-brainers. With a backlog of deserving acts who have yet to be indicted, some end up waiting. But, I agree that Donna Summer indeed should gave been inducted, if not her first year, within five years of her eligibility.

Aren't the HOL changing their eligibility period to 20 years? If so, that's only going to prolong Donna Summer's induction as more "undisputed no-brainers" will hog up the attention.

No- the 20-year thing supposedly will not be happening.

Donna Summer should've been inducted at least 10 years ago. True that!

Yep- those are the five inductees. All who had decent waits since first becoming eligible.
Neil Diamond: 22 years Darline Love: 22 years Dr. John: 17 years Alice Cooper: 16 years Tom Waits: 12 years

^Still no comment on Neil Diamond's inclusion, yet?

^Comment from me? Well, he was one of the more commercially successful acts of the rock era to be absent from the HOF (Chicago remains another one). I have no problem with Neil Diamond, enjoy some of his music, but I can see why his wait was lengthy. On the plus side, his recent work with Jay "Rick" Rubin may have helped some look at him in a new light.

Somewhat suprised that the Beasties were looked over. But, I'm glad that Alice Cooper got in!

Yeah, Beasties now move on to at least a four-year wait.
