I love how she says "And I love that country Ham" Hahaha. She's a vegetarian. Sounds great! I can't wait until November 9th. Wow I just realized that is soon!

Carrie sounds alot like Loretta on the clip! I also love Leanne Womak's cover. She has such a nice voice. :)

Ohhh Thanks! She sounds great as she always does singing traditional country. I hope we get either a cover album someday or all new songs in more of a traditional style.

Remember when Ashley pranked Carrie during the last concert of the spring leg of the tour? Here's a vid front-view: (IIRC, we only saw Carrie's back before)
Aside from the LOL, *sigh*, the vid only serves to remind me how sorely lacking Ashley's vocals are when performing with Carrie, as well as how over-the-top he is when singing. That's the main reason why I can't fully get behind the WCIS-as-the-next-single campaign. On record, the track is great. Live, it doesn't stand out and Ashley is so... average. Their awesome friendship aside, how I wish Carrie recorded the song with someone else more capable. I know this issue has been discussed before but really, just... *sigh*

^^^She’s not in Checotah anymore; Underwood has taken her place among the stars of country music and as a female vocalist, she has no rival.
Five years ago, I would have thought--- she's really good, but not there yet. Three years ago, she's almost there. Today, that statement is sooo freaking true. jmho

I think that if Carrie Underwood were to record a song similar to the one she did for the Loretta Lynn tribute (You're Lookin' At Country), she can silence her critics for being too 'pop-country'. Amen to the she has no rival in the vocal department.

Amen to the she has no rival in the vocal department. Well she sort of already did that with "I Told You So," and "Someday When I Stop Loving You" also sounds more traditional than contemporary. Unfortunately I don't think Carrie will ever get rid of her "you're too pop" critics unless she releases an entire album full of original "traditional" country songs (which I don't see happening any time in the foreseeable future), and even then I think she will always have the pop stigma attached to her due to coming from American Idol. I love her diversity, though. I love that she can go from a song like "Cowboy Casanova" to "You're Looking at Country", and sound so perfect and suited to each type of song. She has a really versatile voice.

Do you guys think Carrie will have another holiday special this year? I thought they would've announced it by now if she were having one, so I guess not. :(

^ I tend to agree, but then again, she has a 2 week break in November from touring that is not accounted for. Mike has games during that break so they can't go away anywhere etc. I was assuming that break was for taping some kind of tv special. She will have to tape the CMT Artist of the year thing, but that should only take one day, so there is still the remainder of the 2 weeks to factor in. The AMAS are in that time period so she could be in LA for that. Not sure.

That could be one of the surprises she said she had for us. That would be very cool.

I'm thinking no special this year. Maybe they will do it every two years to go along with the album release.

^ Her 2 week tour break is a few weeks after the CMAs. But yes, she could be taking a break mid tour just to relax.
I am just trying to figure out her surprises etc, and when she will film the CMT Artist of the year thingy as I think that is pretaped. It airs on tv December 3rd.

thaifood posted this over at CarrieFans: I was walking down Beale prior to the show. A guy was standing there & saw my Carrie Tshirt. He asked if I was part of her crew. When I told him I was just there to see the show, he told me the following.
He said, he owned a production company. They have filmed a series of TV shows that include 3 singer/songwriters in a round table sort of setting. The artists talk about the creation process & then sing some of their music. He said that Carrie would be filming one of these in February. He told me that they haven’t gotten the third person nailed down yet, but the first two are Carrie & Mariah Carey.
Now, normally I would dismiss all this as pure BS, but the guy gave me his name, his companies name, the website address & told me if I were to email him & remind him of our conversation, he would make sure I got some tickets to the taping. So, I checked it all out this morning & lo & behold, the company really does exist & they have in the past done shows exactly like the one he mentioned. Now, whether or not he has signed Carrie is another story. Just though I would pass it along. Carrie replaced 'Single Ladies' & 'White Liar' with 'Hound Dog' while in Memphis.

facm.free.fr/awards2010.htmCarrie Won 2 French Country Music Awards! She won Female Country Artist of the Year and Video of the year for Cowboy Casanova! :) I think this is the first international award Carrie has won since she won European Country Artist of the Year. YAY! I hope she performs in Paris someday soon. That would be amazing.

Have we gotten sales #'s for the Hollywood Bowl yet? It was a sell out. Seems to me I saw 17,192 written on a board as I was exiting the Bowl.

The clip to YLAC doesn't at all sound like Mark Bright. Any guesses?
