It's easily my favorite Carrie song ever. It's one of my fave Carrie co-writes. And, as others have already stated, the live performances are so on-point. I have grown to actually kind of like this song because of the live performances. I was in the boat with the people who just did not like song. I didn't hate it, but it just wasn't my favorite.

Carried added a bit of 'Time Of My Life' to her 'Songs Like This' performance for the final Play On Tour date.

She looked like she was on the verge of tears at the end. Loved it. How cute was it that she had the Play On logo on the back of her jacket? I wonder what she does with the tour outfits after the tour is over.

Does anyone know why there is a random Foxwoods concert on the 30th. If the final PO tour date already past, do you think this concert will be something special??? I'm contemplating buying tickets as they are ridiculously expensive..... I just don't want to buy tickets to see the same show I've seen already...

The more I think about it, the more I think Carrie should end the era with "What Can I Say" as the final single. I understand one of the up/midtempo songs would be good for the Spring, but it would be nice to change the pattern a bit.
WCIS is lyrically one of the strongest songs on the album, and everyone in my family seems to love it. Even those who aren't huge Carrie/country fans, such as my brother. He teases me for liking Carrie, and pretty much only listens to rap/hip-hop, and even he likes the song. I caught him red-handed with it on his iPod lol but I think he took it off since I found it.

She played Foxwoods last New Years Eve too, I believe. I don't think it would be just like the tour. I think it would be more of what she did in smaller venues last year.

Now that it's officially over, I just want to say one thing...
What a tour! Loved it and I really look forward to Carrie's future work.

Between a Golden Globe and an award from the Phoenix Film Critics Society, which do you think has more prestige?

In this Country Universe article, Kevin Coyne distinguishes between sincerity and authenticity in country music and talks about how he prefers the former over the latter. He uses Carrie as a primary example for sincerity.

Play on was a great CD... loved the tour too!!! but WORSE SINGLES EVER I wouldn't say that. CC and TH are pretty strong songs, CC is probably one of her best ever. UI is a fun song, and the only other uptempo they could have released instead of it was "Songs Like This", which isn't much better as a song. UI is more fun live. As for Mama's Song, were there probably better songs for radio on the album? Yes. But I'm sort of glad she released it as a single. It shows people a more personal side of Carrie, that we never really get to see too often. You can tell it comes from her heart. However, if the next single isn't WCIS or SWISLY, THEN I'll say that they made a HUGE mistake.

Carrie Underwood, Mama's Song (30,000, +186%, 264,000) Carrie Underwood, Undo It (20,000, +262%, 952,000) Carrie Underwood, Cowboy Casanova (14,000, +289%, 1.548 million) Carrie Underwood, Temporary Home (12,000, +307%, 629,000) Carrie Underwood, All-American Girl (11,000, +395%, 1.298 million) Carrie Underwood, There's a Place for Us (10,000, +15%, 56,000) Carrie Underwood, Before He Cheats (9,000, +226%, 3.125 million)
Here is Carrie's latest track sales! I love the after Christmas download explosions! It's interesting to note that Undo it is almost at platinum, and many people say it was a mistake as a single. 1,000,000 sales is definately a success. Especially for a country song.

I think Temporary Home has the potential to go down as one of Carrie's signature songs, actually. I just wish it had been released a little later in the album's life. I still think What Can I Say should be the final single, but I can't shake the feeling that they'll go with something uptempo like Quitter.

I'm hoping I won't be disappointed (again) with the single choice for the fifth single. Please let it be WCIS/SWISLY; preferably the former.

are we even getting a 5th single? Somehow this really feels like the end of an era, tbh.
In the case we are, I'd say release anything there, lol. They've gotten rid of the worst tracks already, so, anything now is better...

They've gotten rid of the worst tracks already, so, anything now is better... I'd think it's pretty much guaranteed, since Carrie hasn't started recording for the next album yet. I don't think they'd go 8+ months without a single on the radio. I'm guessing there will only be one more single, though, and then a bit of a break before the lead single from the next album.

^ Agree. A fifth single is guaranteed but I think they'd go with one that, I believe, they consider is safe to smash on country radio. Since it's already January and Mama's Song hasn't peaked yet and it might hit #1. So the newer single will go to adds in February at least, I believe, giving it enough time to climb and peak before June and then a period of around 3 months of no Carrie music on radio is more than enough.
