American Idol should have a Gospel night and have Carrie sing HGTA on the show. dont think idol will want carrie to make their stars sound like that can't hold a candle to her!

HGTA was fantastic!! JTTW I thought was boring, Carrie sings it better. I actually like Vince's take on it. It's a different, more simple/stripped down version.

Carrie is a perfect example of using her fame for all the right reasons. That performance was absolutely amazing. I've never been so proud to say that I'm a fan.

Girl's Night Out viewership ratings from TVbytheNumbers: Blame it on Good Friday, Rio or anything you like, but many shows were down last night.
We posted separately a few minutes ago, but Fringe dipped to a series low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating last night. Fringe wasn’t alone in being down, Smallville dipped 10% to a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and Shark Tank was off 7% to a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating. Supernatural was steady with a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating. NBC’s Friday Night Lights bucked the trend and was up a tenth from last week to a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating.
CBS took the night with the Girl’s Night Out: Superstar Women of Country drawing a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating and 8.4 million viewers.
ABC and NBC tied for second – Primetime What Would You Do? scored a 1.1 preliminary adults 18-49 rating and 20/20 a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. Two hours of NBC’s Dateline averaged a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating. I still can't get over last night's performance. Incredible, seriously. JTTW I thought was boring, Carrie sings it better. She does, obviously. However, I thought Vince gave a nice understated interpretation. And, his rendition gave me the desire to revisit this... Carrie has the prettiest head voice. <3

Stunning performance last night. I get chills every time. I think it's so funny how at the end of the performance it's just unspoken about her greatness. The country community knows they've got a legend in their midst, and when they stood up early, I think they finally acknowledged it.

Climbed all the way to #94 on the all-genre itunes chart. It wasn't in the top 1000 before the song aired. It wasn't even in the top 100 on the Christian chart. Pretty impressive.

I have notice something about last night's GNO special, they got the information wrong on Carrie's EOTY wins it was 2009 & 2010 not 2008 & 2009. Carrie was awesome and amazing singing HGTA.

There's a bit towards the end that wasn't shown online in which Carrie discusses proving herself to the country music world after winning American Idol. All of the ladies then recognize her with applause. It's a nice moment.
On a related note...Wynonna seems to have a real admiration for Carrie nowadays. She finally saw the light!

They need to come hard with the lead single this upcoming era. Carrie's got everybody's mind these days and I'm sure with 'Remind Me' getting a release next month that won't be coming to an end anytime soon. I seriously can see big things happening next era with the right lead single.
And don't get me wrong. 'Cowboy Casanova' was definitely the perfect lead single from Play On and it's one of my favorite Carrie cuts ever but I think it may have been a little too polarizing for country radio. I think they need to go with something a little more relatable this go 'round.

I think they need to go with something a little more relatable this go 'round. I firmly believe that this will be Carrie's biggest era yet. It's just been a gut feeling, and I've said it a million times already at CFans.com. She's taken more time off than ever before to work on this album, she's experimenting with more writers, she's learned different techniques with her own writing (as well as learned from the general public what works and what doesn't), and with enough professional development throughout this year, she'll break out in the fall with this debut. I just hope that both Carrie and the label play this era right. The single choices for PO were good nonetheless, but they could've been MUCH better. This era, if played right and well, could be a career-defining couple of years for her. I'm also hoping she can finally go international with the next tour she does.

AMAZING ! I feel that the past several viral/near-viral performances are finally revealing to the world what an incredibly talented vocalist and performer that she really is- something we, as her fans, already know. I feel that Carrie's immense talent has been under-recognized/underrated and her more recent high-profile exposure may expand her fanbase. I hope that the next era will be huge for Carrie, because I was especially disappointed with the choice of her singles during the 'Play On' era and with the overall quality of the record. Again, I am still waiting to hear Carrie's vocals on a deeper, more cohesive record like Miranda Lambert's 'Revolution'. I have a feeling that I will have to wait several more years to hear it....

It is so high? :o the album is how many years old, no promo on main page, and people have to dig that one song up from itunes library. I can imagine it's in the top 10 right now if that track is promoted on the main page. But Carrie's is NOT all about sales. I'm happy
