I think it'd safe to say Eminem will average 50k a week for the rest of the year, considering the VMA bump and the holiday season. That puts him at 3.3m, I think it'll be between 3.3-3.5. While I see 2m's point that someone could come out of nowhere but the usual suspects (Taylor, Kanye, Boyle etc) don't seem like they'll do it. I'll be very happy if/when Eminem claims the official title.

I know it finished of 2005 with 4.85 million sold (behind mariah carey" but cant find anything more recent.

You can compile the top portion of th chart yourself by extracting all the catalog titles from the list
