There is no guarantee of that, any more than there is a guarantee that Eminem will be #1 There is always that chance the "next relevant thing" will manifest during the holidays I know that there is a chart for the calendar and billboard year? How is in the top 5 for both? I thought Subo already had one of them locked down

200k for Rihanna would be her highest weekly total. However in that week or so it might not be enough for a #1 or not even a #2. Rated R did around 180k I think, and her highest peaking album is Good Girl Gone Bad at #2, but sold less that week.

I think Universal may ship more Pink Friday if 'Check It Out' and 'Right Thru Me' are hugely successful by November.

I think around 240k to 300k for Rihanna is more right. her label aren't playing this era. i expect HUGE promo/buzz for LOUD!

I thought Subo already had one of them locked down I think Boyle has the Billboard year locked up (all her sales last year count for it), meaning she'll be no. 1 on the year-end Billboard 200 of 2010 with more than 3.8 million. The battle is only for the 2010 calendar year ranking which will be provided by SoundScan.

SuBo and Taylor Swift probably will be battling for the lion's share of December's sales.

Will Susan's 'The Gift' and Taylor's 'Speak Now' sell 1 million copies in their US first-week?

^More than 500K for each, I'd say, is a good possibility. But, yeah, 1m may be a tad out of reach.

Nicki Minaj 125k really? I think she'll do 200k Because she's bigger than Rihanna or Katy Perry? 200k is almost completely out of the question for her if those ladies couldn't break it either.

Sometimes those rappers/hip-hop people come out of nowhere and sell big with their debuts. Maybe she'll do 800K like Snoop Dogg did back in 1993. Drake did 400K+- don't think Minaj will do that, but we've been surprised before.

I see what you're saying but at the same time, Nicki Minaj could have a more devoted fanbase than Katy does. I still think Katy's hits are bigger than she is and she has more of a casual fanbase while I see Nicki as a similar case to Trey Songz where there is a direct connection to fans outside of just iTunes.

Btw, that cover really did wonders for Nicki's pre-Orders. She jumped 1000+ spots when that was released. She's #39 on Amazon now.

I expect Nicki to have a huge debut. 200 at least, 300ish most likely.

^^ I feel like 300K is a bit far-fetched for Nicki, but that would be great. I see her doing 200K but staying steady and going platinum...

What? NO WAY! Nicki will be lucky to sell 100k let alone 300k. Although I would personally love it if Nicki did 500k+ the first week out.

she will do over 100k even over 150k. I saw her in concert and she's pretty business savvy. She and her team hype her album every where they go, she gives out t-shirts with Pink Friday on it, she hypes her cd at every concert, she writes on ladies breasts, it's ridiculous but she definitely have a fanbase.
I'm not even a fan but I see it.

i think Kanye can go upwards of 650k IF he gets a popular single, if not, probably around 350k-400k. Eh, I'm thinking 450k with promo.

BTW, I read online that Beyonce is prepping another studio release before the end of the year? Can anyone confirm? Just when you thought it was safe to go outside. By "prepping another studio release", I interpret that as though she hasn't really recorded the follow-up to "I Am...Sasha Fierce" in earnest yet, but she'll get serious about it during the holiday season...........not that she will release the follow-up then. Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus I hope because spring 2011 will be the perfect time to put out a new Beyonce record. Doesn't feel too soon and right in line with Gaga and Britney. Three queen bees smashing.
