I'm a bit disappointed that Eminem's "No Love" isn't taking off. The video is out, the song is excellent, it's quite commercial and it features Lil' Wayne. Should be a big hit, but it's moving sloooowly.

I think it's too early to make a determination on "No Love". But people who are expecting it to be a big hit i think are wrong. I expect it will maybe hit the Top 10. But anything higher than that i would be stunned.

Yep, Same.

I know it's getting a lot of Rythmic play already but it's so far dead on pop.

I do see it's been played like 11 times on WKQI (95.5) in Detroit this week which is a Top 40 pop station. But other than that it's hardly made a dent on pop radio. Not shocking since that station has played LTWYL 90+ times and Not Afraid 25+ times and the BOB Airplanes ft Eminem 35+ times. Again it's a Detroit station so thats not surprising.

I'm glad to see Carrie's "Mama's Song" is still climbing. Not my favorite song off her latest CD, but at least it will be another hit for her. The first 3 singles from "Play On" all went to No. 1 on country, but I don't think this will.

Knowing Carrie's record on country, odds are still high although I dont know the reception towards the song.

Looks like on Mediabase Bruno has a 52m lead over FEM, while FEM has a 38k sales lead, which will keep Bruno ahead. I still think FEM will nab #1 next week though.

They averaged 3 songs per episode for the 1st season, so maybe 4 is a little bit hight. Still, that would net them another 60 entries.

They may make the year-end Hot 100 artists, but I doubt any song will make the year-end Hot 100.

Song Scorecard: "Empire State Of Mind" by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys tops the 4 million mark in paid downloads this week. It's the biggest hit by either artist..

Eminem this week becomes the first hip-hop artist with three songs at or above the 3 million mark in paid downloads (combining lead and featured credits). He achieves the feat as his Oscar-winning anthem "Lose Yourself" hits the 3 million mark. It follows "Love The Way You Lie" (featuring Rihanna) and Akon's "Smack That," on which Em was featured. Flo Rida, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and T.I. all have two songs at or above the 3 million mark..

"Lose Yourself," which Eminem introduced in his 2002 film 8 Mile, is the third movie hit to top 3 million in digital sales. It follows M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes," which was featured in the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire, and Miley Cyrus' "The Climb," which she sang in Hannah Montana: The Movie. Unlike "Lose Yourself," neither of those other songs was written for the movie..

Bruno Mars and Nicki Minaj have sold a combined total of nearly 11 million digital downloads, as either lead or featured artist, so far in 2010. And they rang up all those sales before releasing their debut albums. Mars' debut, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, was released yesterday and will chart next week. Minaj's solo debut, Pink Friday, is scheduled for release on Nov. 23. (Minaj was featured on the multi-artist We Are Young Money compilation, which debuted and peaked at #9 in December.).

Mars has sung lead on three smashes this year which have sold a combined total of 6,523,000 digital copies. Here are the exact figures: "Nothin' On You," the #1 hit by B.o.B, has sold 2,535,000 copies. "Billionaire," the top five hit by Travie McCoy, has sold 2,471,000 copies. Mars' own hit, "Just The Way You Are," has sold 1,517,000 copies..

Minaj is credited on seven songs that are listed on Nielsen/SoundScan's running tally of the 200 best-selling songs so far in 2010. These seven songs have sold a combined total of 4,298,000 copies. Here's the breakdown: Her own hit "Your Love" has sold 775,000 copies. She is also featured on Ludacris' "My Chick Bad" (1,246,000), Lil Wayne's "Knockout" (519K), Trey Songz's "Bottoms Up" (518K), Usher's "Lil Freak" (508K), Sean Kingston's "Letting Go (Dutty Love)" (377K) and Jay Sean's "2012 (It Ain't The End") (355K). In addition, Rolling Stone chose Minaj to kick off its annual "Hot List" in the current issue. She is the dubbed the Hot "Superfreak" (a compliment, I think)..

The fact that these two artists have had so many digital hits and have achieved such high profiles even before their debut albums are released is a sign of how the industry is changing..

Here's the top 10 on Hot Digital Songs, according to Nielsen/SoundScan. Far East Movement featuring Cataracs & Dev's "Like A G6" jumps from #2 to #1 (216K). Bruno Mars' "Just The Way You Are" slips from #1 to #2 (178K). Nelly's "Just A Dream" jumps from #4 to #3 (169K). Rihanna's "Only Girl (In The World) dips from #3 to #4 (145K). Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" holds at #5 for the second week (130K).

-- Bruno Mars: The singer stands tall at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a third consecutive week with "Just the Way You Are," maintaining his perch despite being knocked out of the upper rung of Hot Digital Songs, where it shifts 178,000 downloads (down 6%), according to Nielsen SoundScan, to fall to No. 2

-- Far*East Movement: The act's "Like a G6" is the new Hot Digital Songs champ with 216,000 downloads (up 20%). With that No. 1 sales ranking, the four-man act from Los Angeles becomes the first multi-member group to top the sales tally with its initial chart appearance since Hinder led the list with "Lips Of An Angel" four years ago this month. -- Neon Trees: The band's "Animal" becomes the first song to top the Alternative chart and reach the top 20 of the Hot 100 since Linkin Park's "New Divide" in June 2009. Driving the song's climb is pop radio airplay (19-15 on Mainstream Top 40) and that format's download sales effect as the title posts its best sales week yet with 53,000.

-- Glee Cast: As mentioned earlier in the week, the "Glee" Cast sets a notable Hot 100 chart record as the ensemble debuts an additional six songs on the chart from its Britney Spears-inspired episode, led by the troupe's rendition of "Toxic" at No. 16. That song sells 109,000 to start at No. 9 on Digital Songs while the half-dozen entries sell a cumulative 406,000, down from the 409,000 shifted by last week's five new entries.

-- Paramore: Profiting from the "Glee" effect is Paramore's "The Only Exception," the only non-Britney Spears song performed on the Sept. 28 episode. While the cast's cover of the song moves 89,000 and debuts at No. 26 on the Hot 100, Paramore's original sells 71,000 (up 176%), a one-week high for the track as it rebounds 57-25 as the Digital Gainer honoree. The song's previous best download frame was on the chart dated Aug. 28 (49,000) when it reached its Hot 100 peak at No. 24.

-- Lil Wayne: The rapper also makes multiple debuts on the Hot 100 with four new tracks from his No. 2-debuting album "I Am Not A Human Being." Leading the charge is the non-pleasantly titled "Gonorrhea" at No. 17, which opens at No. 10 on Digital Songs with 107,000.
