Adele may be the latest diva to sing for James Bond, according to the Sun. The UK publication reports that Adele was spotted at Abbey Road Studios earlier this month, where composer Thomas Newman has been reportedly at work on the score for "Skyfall" -- the next film in the long-running spy saga. Past contributors to the Bond series have ranged from Paul McCartney to Nancy Sinatra to Madonna. Newman's previous film scores include "WALL-E," "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Revolutionary Road," another film helmed by "Skyfall" director Sam Mendes. Adele hinted that she'd be working on a Bond tune in an interview on "The Jonathan Ross Show" in 2011, laughing as Ross sung the franchise's opening theme to her. The track would be her first new material since the Grammy-winning "21." This is a great move. I hope the song is huge! She could see a big boost for "21" again if the song is big as there will be a lot more hype around Adele again during the holiday period! :)

Love that song (and his album--I was happy to read your approval of "Red" the other day  ). Rumor has it (*ba-dum-tssh*) it's the title track of Céline Dion's new album (whether or not it's a new song or a cover of this has yet to be confirmed). |
