Someone posted most of the Borderline show in HQ. Seriously awesome day. 08:28AM: "Troubadour" event video shared. 08:00PM: The X-Factor televised performance. 11:26PM: "Borderline" event video shared. It is basically Thanksgiving. Be thankful.

I wonder if there is any singer that's popular these days whose perfomances get nitpicked more than Kelly Clarkson's.

Kelly singing The National Anthem in 2000, two years before she won American Idol. Around 2:32, are people saying she was horrible? :o

Some people seriously didn't like that performance! That was a great launching pad for this song! The perfomrnace over was KILLer! It sounds 100 X better with the full band version! I have a feeling by the time its all said and done we'll hear her perform that song so many times it will be like Walk Away!

That video of her performing pre-idol. :X Those vocal coaches Idol had were a godsend.

I liked the performance. Goodness. Not by any means the best of her career, but for the first time performing it live in a high-profile setting, still good. She'll get it together. (But I still want Dark Side for single number 3... she rocks that one live)
EDIT
and I'll say that, for whatever reason I have the same range as Kelly except an octave lower (cuz I'm a guy...) and WDKY is a little hard to sing. It's low then it jumps up high and never stops. It is pretty hard to sing. MLWSWY has a lot more room to breathe. This song just keeps going, and I find it difficult at times, which is why she probably also finds it hard.

It wasn't that bad. She does struggle a bit for air during the chorus but when you're belting it out like she does, can you really blame her? Maybe she can work in JnK to take a line or two just so she can catch her breath. I can see her taking advantage of the "the audience should sing this part" on tour just so she can get a break.
I thought the graphics were cute.
The only thing that was terrible about this performance was that it was a minute short.
As for that Nat'l Anthem....thank GOD she's toned down the riffing on that song. It's so unnecessary.

I thought the performance was good. It wasn't amazing but solid nonetheless. There's room for improvement, but I didn't see it as a mess like some people.

The Vevo video of the Troubadour show really highlights how much Kelly's lower range has bulked up over the years. She sounds smooth, confident & full at the bottom of her register now, which wasn't always the case.......makes me wonder if there is any room for improvement left??? LOL, she's amazing.

Great performance! It wasn't perfect but the arrangement was light years ahead of the lame acoustic version they used before. She didn't sound bad and looked really awesome. Very very disappointed that the performance did nothing promoting the song though. It's still sitting at #90 on iTunes...maybe because many viewers didn't catch it when it aired?

Yeah, no offense, but people REALLY jumped on this performance--- it was great, and even if people personally didn't think so, it was really a preliminary performance. She still has millions of Jingle Balls, Divas, and all the promo they will do in January. So everyone needs to relax. Plus, for those of you saying you could sing it like Kelly, take a few short things into account. She's singing this in full voice while prancing around stage, remembering lyrics (which she clearly has trouble with), belting continuous D5's and even the occasional E, which isn't that high for her but she's doing it a lot. Plus, she's doing endless promo. So yeah, that's my piece on that. I get it if you were just giving perspective, so disregard this if i completely misunderstood your intent Secondly, has anyone else noticed how similar the performances she gives now are to Breakaway? She has she same amount of sass (and I would argue, more so with MKIA than any other song) and her voice is in amazing condition.

Tumblr post claims that "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)" is coming January 20, 2012. Reliable? I don't know.

Can anyone tell me When we'll figure out the setlist for her Stronger World Tour? I'm going to the Wang Theater show in Boston with my girlfriend and I am wondering what to expect. Do the songs we hear on tour generally are in the running for being singles later down along the road?
Also, I fear that since we haven't had a performance of TWIO or LMD, they might not be potential releases. Is this viable?

Also, I fear that since we haven't had a performance of TWIO or LMD, they might not be potential releases. Is this viable? I seldom assume that, with anyone - because perhaps they have been holding those songs back so that, when they do become singles, they have that opportunity to debut those songs on TV. Does that make sense? Like, they have obviously been pushing "Dark Side" and it is plausible that they might actually release that, but maybe they have been holding back future singles so that they could debut them later. She has not had many performances that would allow for multiple songs, anyway. Once we have more, she may do those songs, you never really know.

Loved her on the X Factor last night. Didn't care for those loud arse graphics in the background, though. Was way too distracting, imo.

So much for X Factor helping WDKY on iTunes. It was higher on iTunes a week or so ago just from the commercial.
