She is going to have the best first week sales for a country female artist....but not sure about for a country album overall....only time will tell.

ONE year ago: 7 2 TAYLOR SWIFT BIG MACHINE 111,147 +230% FEARLESS Huh, ironic that this is charting a year after Fearless resurged from the re-release. Cool. Wonder if it'll beat Lil Wayne's or Garth's first week sales...

Interesting how she exactly matches their record, it's so fixed. Then I guess Lil Wayne did aroun 2.3 as well. Albums sales are down compared to 10 years ago but albums on #1 sell more than they used to back then.

Yes, but look what Will posted about Speak Now having the highest percentage of music sales of any album in history in a given week, even more than NSync. To me, that's more telling.

How long is the longest HITS weekly album chart thread? This must be a contender for that record as well ;)

It's funny that the types of artists who sell this much in their opening week will never appeal to me.
Never bought an Eminem, Taylor Swift or Susan Boyle CD.
At least I can say I'm not trendy.

Interesting how she exactly matches their record, it's so fixed. Oh dear. Check the percentage of decline from 2000 to 2010 and then adjust her sales accordingly. Maybe, maybe not. His album was released over two years ago (sales, believe it or not, have declined more since then). It's funny that the types of artists who sell this much in their opening week will never appeal to me. Never bought an Eminem, Taylor Swift or Susan Boyle CD. At least I can say I'm not trendy. When did Susan Boyle sell this much in her opening week again?

Well....she sold 700k with her last album in it's first week.... There's quite a big difference between selling 1+ million copies and selling 700k.

Well true, but he was saying that he has never bought an album with big first week sales....at least I think that was what he was getting at.
