I doubt that they'll sell much. I do expect them to have a decent sales bump though .

I don't expect a Taylor invasion, but I do expect multiple entries as well. It's hard. The Beatles catalogue is HUGE.

They have like close to 30 albums and some I believe are double disc If The Beatles do have the power to attract loads of download, then I expect to see them in the top 100 for the entire year or more

The albums themselves could see a bump, the itunes top 200 will see a short term flood of Beatles songs.
The charts that will be impacted: Billboard 200, Digital Songs, Digital Albums, Catalog Albums
The digital charts will see more of an impact. The biggest fans of the Beatles are CD buyers rather than itunes regulars so the impact may not be long-lasting.
There will not be a "Glee effect", the Hot 100 will not be impacted

Didn't Michael Jackson have about half the top 100 at one point.
That is probably the record

Speaking of Michael, I suppose this is great news for his estate.

If it happens, CNN is reporting an "itunes announcement" but not necessarily tying it to the Beatles

Speaking of Michael, I suppose this is great news for his estate. Does he still own the rights to The Beatles music? I thought it was used to pay for his debt?

Nevermind now there are more reports saying it's The Beatles. I am really hoping these "reports" are wrong. I don't know why this is huge news at all.

Michael's estate still owns the ATV catalogue which contains the Beatles albums.

I hope it's the Beatles. Not because ill buy any of the stuff. Just because they are cleary the biggest artist not on iTunes yet.
I like the fact my favorite band doesnt do iTunes. Tool. I would love if the Beatles gave in before Tool.

Michael's estate still owns the ATV catalogue which contains the Beatles albums. Not nearly as many as he once did. He had to sell a lot of the Beatles' catalog to pay off debt.

I can't. I just can't. I bet more than half of the iTunes regulars are like "WTF? Take this away I want my music back"
