her electro songs are some of her best tho. Birds Of Prey and Falling in Love Again are AMAZING and none of her peers have songs that sound remotely like those 2.

Talking about The New Album:

I just can’t wait to get back into the studio with producers who want to come from a heartfelt level. I feel like a lot of what’s on the radio has the same sound, and I am at a place in my life after the past year that I’ve had—so much has happened to me with the divorce, personal changes in my own life, highs and lows. It’s almost the same vein as when I wrote my Stripped record— the feeling of “Hold on, let’s hear my side of the story.” The bottom line being “I’m a fighter and I’ve survived everything.”I wrote “Fighter” about that—about thanking people for being such ass-holes, because in fact they made me fight that much harder and grow that much stronger.

I’m basically coming from a much more introspective place on this record. I have a lot to write about, and I can’t wait to put it on paper and on record.
It’s going to be a really interesting record, and it’s all about turning everything I’ve done into something positive.

And can't believe it! It's been 1 year since Bionic era was started!!!



I remember how people were so exciting for her new album and after months, many were already tired of waiting and suddenly her website was updated with a countdown everyday!!! First, we got the title and the cover of the lead single, Not Myself Tonight! So shocking! And more news to follow! And we falsely believed that the lead single would be Glam in like months? We also had a touching Lift Me Up performance for Haiti with her new short hair!
Too bad the era didn't turn out to be a successful era. From Gaga comparison, all negative reactions toward NMT, extreme NMT music video which leaded to Madonna comparison, NMT flopping on the chart, people laughed at her when 2 soundtracks beat her on the album chart, she got the biggest drop from #1 in UK, the 2nd single, YLM even became her biggest flop in her career. Saw the words Copytina, Flopptina, Extinctina, etc like in every music forums!!! She was the center of jokes with many pics parodied her flopping! And we had also the breakdown rumor. She was like the most hated musician at that time and her career status was so low!!! :'(
At least Burlesque era and The Voice has slowly helped her to back to the spotlight again.

I thought Bionic was going to be a success. A lot of people will say now that they weren't checking for the album, but I remember there being a decent amount of buzz surrounding the project, especially when she started unveiling things on her site. Then, of course, 'Not Myself Tonight' was released and pretty much killed the era before it even really began. The video was the final nail in the coffin.

I don't think 'Glam' is any better than 'NMT', personally, but I do wonder how the era would have turned out had they stuck with the original plan and made it the first single instead of 'NMT'.

Christina Aguilera Takes Over "Extra" at The Grove
Singer Christina Aguilera, coach on NBC's "The Voice," was greeted by thousands of fans as she stopped by "Extra" at The Grove to chat with host Mario Lopez about being a coach on the hit show, dream collaborations, motherhood, and her guilty pleasure.


Christina is loving her new coach/mentor role on "The Voice." Known for her signature voice, Xtina tells Mario that she was drawn to the singing competition because it "takes music back to a place and time where you're inspired by nothing but the voice, before music videos, before the Internet," adding, "It takes you back to a place of Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and real music, where it was all about authenticity, and I love it."

The all-female "Team Christina" definitely has some friendly competition with fellow judges Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Christina beamed about her team. "I have a good group of female performers, they're gonna kill it. Boys better watch out." Of being surrounded by all of testosterone, Christina says, "Sometimes it's like being in boys locker room... and I can't believe what I'm hearing. I do feel like the mom of the group... like, okay boys, let's get down to business."

Christina is still focusing on her career as she talks about recording another Spanish album, and possible future collaborations with her "Mickey Mouse Club" co-stars. "It would be fun to hook up with Britney or Justin at some point, maybe." Other stars on her list include Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce. "There's so much talent out there. It's always fun to collaborate. I keep it open." The one artist that Christina would like to meet is Bjork, "I've always been interested in her."

However, being a mom is definitely a top priority for Aguilera, who talked about juggling motherhood and her career. She tells Lopez that "it's important for my son to see the hard work that goes into supporting my family and all that I do, and to inspire him to be a hard worker as well."

Does she see a singing career in Max's future? "The other day I was putting him to bed, and he looked at me and said, 'Mama, will you teach me to sing?' It was so cute. I'm like, you already have it in there Maxie, all you have to do is sing out loud, it'll come natural. He definitely has his mama's lungs, he can scream."

Although Christina does not have a lot of down time, she does have some guilty pleasures. "I love Bravo shows, especially the 'Real Housewives.'" She does not have a favorite, but admits that watching them "helps me relax. There's some good juice on there." She even admits to being star struck by some of the Housewives stars. "I'm like, look, that's Theresa!"

A three-way collaboration between Christina, Britney, and Justin (get your mind out of the gutter!) would be pretty cool. I know that isn't what she was alluding to, but I like the idea. She'd have to majorly tone down the vocal acrobatics if she worked with either one of them, though.
