and... I saw a vinyl LOUD on BestBuy. So wanted to buy it are you sure it was vinyl? I thought I saw one at FYE but turns out it was just "The Couture Edition" which was a CD/DVD, and some other stuff, yet it was 12" like a record. BTW, that fanmade S&M cover is SEXY. their names should be switched with the way they are sitting :/ to the other poster, i heard this the day after it came out on radio ;)

will this still be #1 on the hot 100 this week??? i'm worried about the i tunes drop!!! It's going to be close. Rih won the last two close ones with OG and WMN so hopefully she'll pull another double overtime win IDK...Katy might snatch the wigs of my faves...and Gaga.

Whats the all-time AI record again? "We Belong Together" also breaks the Mediabase impressions record by reaching an incredible peak of 224.554 million audience impressions (week ending June 7th). The record was previously held by Mario's "Let Me Love You" (210 million impressions).

For POP AI, Alicia Keys' Fallin' holds the record with 93 mil I believe.
I just figured out another big reason why Rihanna didn't perform S&M on AI. If she would have she most likely would have had to perform the solo version, as I'm sure Britney wouldn't have joined her at such short notice, and in doing so would drive the sales of the original up instead of the remix. Most of the digital chart points have to be for the remix in order for Britney to get credit and so if it wound up being the other way around she would have gotten cheated out of a number one. I'm sure Jive wouldn't have been too happy.
Lowering the remix to 99 cents for the debut week of the remix would also present problems as that would undercut the revenue for both labels, especially since the debut week would likely be the biggest.

They should've really lowered one of the versions to 99 cents to really ensure that #1 this week. It wouldn't have looked questionable if they put the remix on as so, as it was a special event. The original could've been justified too, as it could be viewed as the "lesser" product.

I have been away for a few days... is it now basically certain that S&M will lose it's #1 to Judas?

The original could've been justified too, as it could be viewed as the "lesser" product. I said that too, but I'm thinking Brit's people may have objected to that since it means less money for a surely-to-smash single(not to mention Brit's sales usually peak the first week). They obviously want to get as much as possible out of this rare event. If both artists were on IDJ or had the same management it might have been easier and it probably would have taken place. I'm also sure if it is ever a performance of this it will include Britney so that her contribution isn't overlooked.
