I really like the remix! Although Brit's voice could be better. Sounds a bit too nasaly in some parts (or she sounds sick).

for riri fans: another trick for getting another No-1? Rihanna always need help from another? Adding some other sales (like K.Perry with kanye west did) and other audience from duet with Britney? is there any reason for a remix like that right now? What is coming next? Duets wit Bee & Gaga? Appearences in Country & Latin awards? For what? How much help she needs more? S&M was already a smash without Britney. I honestly think there was never an intent to remix this and it may have gotten #1 if E.T. didn't have a remix. But since E.T. had a remix, which largely helped it get #1, why not one for S&M.

I guess the remix is serviceable but it sounds like a last minute afterthought. Britney sounds about like she has in every Femme Fatale public appearance. She's just singing this time. At first I thought she was sick but perhaps smoking and age has altered her voice a bit. This was clearly a rush job so who knows.
When will this hit iTunes and be sent to radio? It'll be interesting to see if the remix helps this song. The goal is obviously an extra push to the top spot. I suppose the primary people who will be interested in this remix are Rihanna and Britney fans.

Rihanna: Taste your own medicine, bitch! Katy: Jealous ho!!!!

The remix would be amazing if they actually mastered Britney's vocals. Here's to hoping they somehow do that by tonight but I obviously don't see that happening. don't see why this couldn't be done, and I'm seriously hoping they do.

The cover really represents the song, actually, but not necessarily in a positive way--disconnected and thrown together.

I'm not sure how we can criticise the fact this was thrown together at the last minute; for a start, that's the point of it and Rihanna's been pretty upfront about that - secondly, despite the fact it was planned in advance, the E.T Remix sounds less 'integrated' than this does and really isn't a remix at all. There's problems in vocal production and it's a bit messy, but this uses a slightly different instrumental and layers Britney's and Rihanna's vocals/ad libs. In that sense, I'd say it's a much more successful remix.

LMAO I was expecting Britney to sound terrible on this after reading all the dramatic posts. She sounds a little weird in places, but I don't think she sounds bad. Other than it sounding a bit unfinished in places, I love it. Sure it's not perfect, but I'm happy to get something like this from two of my favorite singers.

Oh I get what you're saying. From a technical standopoint, this had the potential to be a better remix. Unfortulantely, this just falls flat from the lack of polishing. Katy/Kanye's might be a little less fluid, but it's definitely a finished product. This just sounds unprofessional.

Remix > E.T S&M sounds complete as it is. E.T. always had something missing for me, which its video and the remix has helped with.

Not it will not; there's a voice in my head saying IT'S AWFUL... but Britney + Rihanna = sex.

It doesn't sound "unfinished" or rushed to me. Britney's part does sound like it was "added", but she gave her own swagger to the song. I don't understand why people want her to sing the way Rihanna sang it. Isn't that the point why Rihanna wanted Britney to be in it, to put her spin to it and I think she did a decent job.

It definitely feels unfinished; her vocals aren't even properly mastered. Ignoring Britney's vocals, the production additions are sloppy and distract from the song more than add to it. Again: great potential, if they do a little work on it, they can get there, but right now, no.

"And meet me in my boudoir, make my body say ah ah ah. I like it like it." That must be my favourite part of the song.
I so hope they will collaborate again on a new song sometime in the future.
