Alternative radio is amazing right now. I finding myself changing it more to my Alternative station everyday. Great mix of currents and recurrents at the moment.

^Yeah, agree - and after 3 years, they just finally put my Alternative station back in stereo today (we had a year and a half when it was off air, and then another year and a half when it was only broadcast in mono on a weak signal)
99X is back in Atlanta!!!

I just got home from school a couple weeks ago. There isn't a good alternative station anyway near my college. There's the internet. Can't listen to everything. Don't have the time. I saw somewhere this is going for Hot AC adds.

Yeah it is, which I find strange, while others seem to think it's obvious. ???

^I think it's weird that it's going for HAC adds and not CHR...

It makes sense to me, that they try Hot A/C before CHR. Hot A/C has been more rock friendly than CHR for years. If it shoots up the HAC chart, CHR will be next.

It's interesting to look at what stations are not playing this song. KTBZ The Buzz in Houston has not even spun this song 1 time. There are currently 8 stations on alternative not playing this at all. It's weird that they wouldn't recognize this song. Maybe it just doesn't test well in their markets but It seems really weird to me.

Houston doesn't have an Active or Mainstream Rock station, so The Buzz leans that way to cover that audience - I'm pretty much positive the other 7 stations not playing this are probably in the same situation (covering the Active Rock demographic in their market)

Nice - love this one, but wish they would release "Helena Beat" already. It's going to be way bigger.

Spinwise, that'd be difficult, since "Pumped Up Kicks" has garned a lot of spins during its 5-month rise to the top. But I agree that "Helena Beat" is an awesome MGMT-meets-Passion-Pit tune with lots of chart potential.
