It's happened far too many times to boggle my mind. It's just a glitch, so lets leave it at that ha.
Back to the song, this basically sums up where alternative radio is at at this moment in time.

^^That said, I'm kind of iffy on this. Reminds me a bit of Vampire Weekend.
It shouldn't be doing this well IMO.

I don't get why this song is having such an easy go when the Plan B and The Naked and Famous songs (the latter of which is easily my favorite of the three) fell back out of the Top 50 last week.

The fact that this chorus is so singalong is kind of disturbing, given that I don't want to be tempted to sing or whistle (if I could whistle) along to songs which are about breaking down and going homicidal.

Ick. I hadn't paid attention to the lyrics before, but I just looked them up...and you're totally right. :o It definitely felt like there was something creepy about this song, though... The band name also rubs me the wrong way, for some reason.

I love this now, can't get it out of my head. And yes, I know the lyrics. I decided to make a cover of this because of its catchiness It's not the best, there's some iffy parts, but I'm not the best either, so here's the link: www.zshare.net/download/86224307860ba696/

Not bad indeed. I sense a heavy Mumford & Sons influence. ;)

Not bad indeed. I sense a heavy Mumford & Sons influence. ;) My friend plays lead guitar and can play very well. It would be interesting to hear a metal version of this. And thanks. There are some parts I messed up a little, but I only learned the song by myself (no tabs or chords) an hour or so ago.

With a bit of work, you could be real good. Good to see that we have some talented musicians on this board.

I do vocals too. I've been in a couple of bands, but am vacant currently, mainly due to moving around. Yes, Pen has the voice of an angel.

What's annoying the s*** out of me is every time a band who is exclusive to the Alternative chart shows up, they get blindly tossed into one big garbage bin of 'indie'. I've never once thought of Foster the People being 'indie', or really, any of these second generation 'the' bands either. Portugal. The Man perhaps, but definitely not Cage the Elephant, and especially not Young the Giant (although I haven't understood what's up with their name from the get go, either).

Foster could be indie, IMO. I agree that Cage the Elephant and Young the Giant aren't, but to be fair I've never heard anyone try to say Young the Giant is indie (I mean they only have one song so far for chrissakes) & have heard very few people say that about Cage the Elephant.
