It will easily rule the Hot 100 for several weeks even without huge sales.

Just keep in mind, when it comes to Day 8 (the update we'll get tomorrow), Gaga will have a BIG drop for a couple days, before re-adjusting.
She's been averaging about 10-12m per day for the past 3 days. Since she had 25m on her first day and 20m on the second day, she may have a minus 10-15 drop for a couple days before leveling off to normal increases.

But if I'm not mistaken there are no big (and I mean huge) sellers in sight until Britney releases her second single so with an airplay like that & decent sales (200k for a couple of weeks) she'll be number one. fuck you has sold 2m already so it probably won't go that far.

I Need A Doctor?
I'm just curious how it has done on radio since the Grammy's. I have said before I don't expect it too do much at all. Just curious how it has done since Grammy's on radio.

I was talking solely about mediabase airplay updates. Gaga's second week of airplay will probably still be bigger than the first, but for a couple days it will show daily decreases once it's massive first couple days are no longer included in the current tracking week. She will easily be #1 on the hot 100 this week and quite possibly next week too.

I wonder of the 4 big pop diva singles yet to be #1, which will be. I'm guessing at least 1 of 4. Pros & cons: Perfect/Pink - Raise Your Glass took awhile to get to #1, but it benefited from being very good for the holiday party season. This song may have had its best shot when the video first came out. Sleazy - Kesha's first album's non-opening singles were catchier and didn't hit #1. Her videos generally aren't very good. ET - Katy has momentum and buzz from having just been featured on Glee & in the Grammys, and releasing a version that people with the album would still want to buy is smart, plus Kanye fans who are neutral on Katy might buy it. But 4 #1's on one album is a tall feat. S&M - Rihanna has #1's out the wazoo. But would radio stations give enough support to a song about S&M to push it to #1?
On the dance club chart this & last year, Rihanna, Katy, and Gaga seem to be reigning out of current pop divas. Gaga I'm guessing will join the T10 list of most #1's here (since 1974) and Rihanna will move into a tie with or maybe beat Beyonce for a little while.

DR. DRE - I Need A Doctor f/ Eminem: 7.547 (+ 0.220) Yep. Still low. The radio play is going to kills this songs chance to ever get back in the top 5. The low airplay for this is quite strange given how big Love The Way You Lie was and that this is basically Love The Way You Lie part 2 (or 3 since there's already a part 2 out). I suppose the somewhat harder beat makes it a little less radiofriendly, but still...

That is true, BTW is incresing the plays after the weekend. I still think that 1200 spins for the 8th day it is a bit to much. #1 on itunes i think is normal, This song has a huge hype and then she did a 60 minutes interview before the Grammys, a Grammy performance, Jay Leno on tuesday, a Kiss FM and Z100 interview, Good Mornig America interview, two telephone radio interviews thursday and a huge radio spin with almost 110 million audience in only seven days. I don´t know if I miss something. She is not stable just because of the song, it is because of the very HEAVY promo. This song is just doing great, she is working hard and she deserve the success, even is the song is not as good as many peple wanted.

^^ Infact I'd argue that it is largely because of the promo that BTW is doing so well in the US. In other major markets like the UK and Germany she's been booted from #1 already despite the massive hype. That wouldn't have happened had the song been anywhere near as strong as Bad Romance, Poker Face, Just Dance, etc.

Born This Way defies social norms? That song does nothing new. That isnt meant as a slight. But it doesnt defy anything. The point is obviously that the song is an ode to the LGBT community, a discriminated against minority group, and the US is not as progressive as say, most of the westernized world, when it comes to gay rights. I'd say "f**k You" defies "social norms" less than "Born This Way". Because it has profanity in it? The version on the radio has no profanity anyway, and profanity in pop music isn't exactly something new.

??? Born This Way defies social norms? That song does nothing new. That isnt meant as a slight. But it doesnt defy anything. Except the laws of good songwriting.

With F(orget) You ready to vault to #2, it'll be interesting and somewhat refreshing to see two songs that so strongly defy social norms at the top of the chart. ??? Born This Way defies social norms? That song does nothing new. That isnt meant as a slight. But it doesnt defy anything. I'm guessing he meant F**k You and F**kin Perfect. They may not be 1 & 2, but they're still towards the top of the chart.
