Shania Twain should be a favorite if she comes back hard, but then again, I thought the same about Sade. :(

Hopefully Eminem wins at least one. The best bet and maybe only opportunity is in the rap duo or group category with Nicki Minaj for Romans Revenge.

I really don't see Taylor getting much love with this album, and considering how the hype went by fast, that's even worse for her.

I'm expecting (as of now) for Adele to be the big winner.
But for sure these will end up getting at least a nomination: Kanye, Nicki Minaj, Gaga, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, LMFAO (another dance nod)
Are Mumford & Sons eligible? The Cave, maybe?

I really don't see Taylor getting much love with this album, and considering how the hype went by fast, that's even worse for her. I still see her getting some nominations, and this album is actually more critically acclaimed than "Fearless". But she won't get any GF nods(except maybe Album of the Year). Katy is eligible with Fireworks and ET since TD the album never won, so I really hope she can win her first Grammy :) And once Bey releases another smash album, I'm sure she'll get some nominations, and hopefully a few wins :) She's coming for Aretha! Also rooting for Britney to get her 2nd ever win!!! She should atleast get some deserving dance nods! Alsoo would be lovely for Ke$ha to get a nod, but I wont hold my breath

Country Collaboration. Before I even hear the song, I'm predicting Brad and Carrie get it for "Remind Me" which is set to be released two months from now.

Is The Lady Killer eligible for AOTY next year? If so, I seriously think it could be a strong contender...

I can't see Taylor getting many, if any noms. By the time December comes, the album will be done with and people will have moved on to other stuff, both in country and non-country fields. Maybe a country nomination but I doubt she'll be able to get anything in a general field. Her only hope is to have a new record out by the end of the eligibility period.
EDIT: I think the same thing may happen to Kanye, oddly enough. Although Monster may pick up a nomination somewhere if it's eligible.
I think it will be the year of Adele, so far.

Isn't it a little early for this thread?
Maybe not. Six months have gone by in the eligibilty period.
The eligibility end date is usually September 30.

I know Beyonce is supposed to release an album soon, but is there a confirmed (or even rumored) date yet? I mean, does she even have anything eligible for a Grammy nom at this point? Just curious.
I hope Pink can get another nom.

Beyonces album has no release date....and Pink should get in Pop Female for Perfect.
Taylor Cd has been somewhat of a disapointment. Granted she sold a gazzillion copies but it has yet to spawn a hit like LS or YBWM...Id say shes out of the Gf this time around and lands all the Country field noms

And whoever said Nikki getting a nom or win will be sadly mistaken. Why didnt they nom her this year?

^her album didn't come out till November. Was she even submitted for some her songs? They probably didn't want her to get a nom until after her album was released so she could have a shot at BNA.

I really don't see Taylor getting much love with this album, and considering how the hype went by fast, that's even worse for her. She's having her 'Britney' era where the media saturation is catching up with her and it is time for her to reinvent herself for her next record.

I seriously think the Best New Artist is a shoe-in for nomination. Best rap album-Pink friday Moment for life (Rap sung/duo) Fly (rap sung/duo) Save me (R&b categories) I thin she will have at least 5 nominations and I would like her to win BNA but that is probably going to end up a very competitive category.

I think Nicki will get maybe 2 or 3 nominations though nothing in any of the major fields, and one of those noms may be for something other than her own album's tracks.

I'd love for Nicki to get a Grammy nod for Roman's Revenge but I don't think it was ever released? Don't think any of her other solo material is worthy. BNA seems likely, though. Taylor, Kanye, Adele & Gaga are definite. I hope Katy can pick up something for ET

She was nominated this year for Ludacris My Chick... but Your Love was submitted and snubbed. That was her biggest hit and she landed no noms so why would they nominated her for anything else?
Rap Sung is usually pretty competitive so werll see
Pop Female should be good with Gaga, Adele, Pink, and maybe Bee

I'll work off of the Country categories for now... Female Country Vocal -something by Taylor since she's releasing a lot this year -depending on what Carrie releases for her next single off of her 4th album -an upcoming Miranda song (unless "Heart Like Mine" is eligible) -hopefully something by Allison Krauss (so excited for more material from this girl) -something from Sara Evans Collaboration -"Don't You Wanna Stay" - Kelly/Jason -"Remind Me" - Carrie/Brad The others don't matter. One of these 2 will win, and judging by the hype thus far, it'll be Carrie Country Album -Taylor Swift, "Speak Now" -Kenny Chesney, "Hemingway's Whiskey" don't know about the rest. Maybe Miranda's next album, or Brad's "This is Country Music"? Country Song -"Felt Good On My Lips", Tim McGraw -"Don't You Wanna Stay", Jason Aldean/Kelly Clarkson not sure about the others. There's been several big hits already this year. All Genres Album of the Year -"Speak Now", Taylor Swift -"Born This Way", Lady Gaga -"21", Adele +2 more Best New Artist -Rebecca Black :kii:
