It's hard to believe. Katy has been having this great weeks at #1, with huge leads over the other contenders, and now Rihanna manages to sneak in with barely a 10k difference thanks to a rushed remix that's almost out of itunes top 10 by now.
Makes you wonder why some people still won't give her credit for all these numerous one-week #1's.

Are we even sure yet about #1?
We know Mediabase airplay is basically tied but it's possible on BDS that Katy actually ended up with a larger lead.

So um does Britney get credit or not? After all it was the remix that gave the single the #1 boost. Without the remix Rihanna would still be at #2, so Brit should get credit where it's due no? Otherwise this really would be a joke if this stunt was only credited to Rihanna.

I don't understand why people are ¨pressed¨ about Rihanna hitting #1???
I mean, it isn't like she is cheating, she is just playing ¨the game¨ and playing it good if I may say so.
For instance, I would have loved and my life would have been complete if GaGa and her team would have played ¨the game¨ for just one week and let Bad ROmance hit #1.... but they didn't and it didn't.... and I'm still pressed about it.
Personally not a huge Rihanna fan, but today I bet it's a good day to be one.

Till The World Ends is starting to blow up again. Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" era is shaping up to be the STANDARD by which future eras will be measured against for any artist. Too bad this might be her peak era. Careful with the Katy cool-aid lets not get carried away. Rihanna has 4 #1 on the Hot 100 in the same era and her album has sold more than Katy's. Katy has had higher airplay,more weeks at #1, and LTWYL doesnt count ( and her tour is actually selling) Hell Firework shits on all Rihannas singles this era (chart-wise) |
