Can't wait to hear it! I hope this next era will do big things for Kellie. She's an awesome person and a great talent, but her material hasn't been as good as it could be in the past. I want to see her competing for Female Vocalist trophies someday.

Don't like the title. LOVE the description.
From TheBoot:
"I've never been more excited about even just a single that we're releasing to radio," an animated Kellie tells The Boot. "I think it's gonna be the best one that we've given radio. It's country. It's got a little bluegrass, it's got some fiddle, it's got some steel and it's got some spoons. It's got kind of a dirty hillbilly [sound], but it's still commercial enough, I think, for country radio."

"...it's gonna be the best one that we've given radio." Hm, when have I heard that before? Right, whenever somebody releases a single.

Her biggest problem were the songs that were given to radio. She had many on her Albums that were more radio worthy than what got released.

Other than Small Town Girl and Rocks Instead of Rice never getting released, I think her single choices have been spot on. ???

Rocks Instead of Rice and Small Town Girl were better than anything else she released.

Rocks Instead of Rice and Small Town Girl were better than anything else she released. Disagree completely. Red High Heels and I Wonder from her first album were uniquely Kellie Pickler, whereas Small Town Girl -- while still good -- was a more generic song. And from her second album, I think that DYKHMILY is absolute brilliance, DYKYB and MMFILA are some of the catchiest songs I've ever heard, and BDOYL was just total fun... its not one of my faves, but it was huge for her.

I'm really looking forward to this. I loved her last album, although I felt like the best two songs ("Rocks Instead of Rice", "One Last Time") went unreleased. Hopefully this time around, her singles will climb a little faster so she can release more than three without having a two and a half year gap between albums. Maybe she can finally get that #1?

I've liked all of Kellie's singles except "Don't You Know You're Beautiful" (which IMO was a marginally less cringeworthy rehash of "This One's for the Girls") and "Makin' Me Fall in Love Again" (decent melody, but otherwise very pedestrian). However, I think her singles have mostly shown the same one-dimensional, bubbly and energetic personality. Only "I Wonder" and "Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You" really broke that mold.
So I guess what I'm not too big on is Kellie Pickler, the person. Every time I see her, she's a giggly, bubbly ditz who comes off as if she has the IQ of a turnip. You know who she reminds me of? Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

Hopefully this will go #1. Kellie is one of the most underrated female artists of the last decade. I've never understood why radio never caught on to her like others.

Hmm I personally wouldn't say "of the decade" but she is certainly underrated in the country industry. She's climbing though. Hopefully she'll be like Miranda and shoot into superstardom after a few album releases.

I also am hoping this single brings Kellie to the summit. She's definitely underrated, and I would love for her to have a Miranda moment with her next album era.

She did a local show here last week, and during some Q&A she mentioned she pretty much will only have 10 songs on the album. :(

The last one only had 9 (not counting DYKHMILY since it was on the first album too). But they did have 3 bonus tracks for itunes. So hopefully they do something similar for this one.

The only single I have liked, even a little, from her is "Best Days of Your Life", so I am hoping Taylor co-wrote this single too. Kellie's material is pretty weak in my opinion, and she doesn't have the voice to get away with it like Carrie can.
I am interested to see how this sounds, as it should be a make or break album for Kellie.

I've got nothing against Kellie, but it's gonna take the right song and the right sound for me to enjoy any of her music. I haven't enjoyed any of her singles so far, as I think her voice is very polarizing, but there are times when she sounds decent. I'm still looking forward to this though. I want to be able to root for her so I hope she delivers here.
