^That is why the Miranda Lambert CD is dropping on 11-01-11 because of the C.M.A. Awards. Carrie Underwood would have to release hers the Tuesday before or the Tuesday after that date. P.S.: I am expecting the lead single from the Lambert CD in August.

We, we might not get the album til 2012 either. I would rather her take her time than put out sub par songs.

I'm predicting the album release for November 22nd, with a lead single coming out in late September. The 22nd of November is the Tuesday of Thanksgiving/Black Friday week, which would ensure Carrie a huge opening week.
I'm sure the album is going to be good, but I'd hate to see Sony only put out the Miranda album in the fall. Carrie will still sell well in the spring, if she were to release then, but I'd only want a 2012 release if she absolutely can't or doesn't want to get the album out there in 2011 (since she is taking her time).
If Miranda has the holidays all to herself, she could outgun Carrie. I have nothing against Miranda but I'm not really a fan either, and while I think she is talented, I've never liked her voice much and I think it's time for Carrie to step it up a bit and be recognized more by both her label and awards shows, etc. It seems to me like over the last 1-2 years, Sony focused more on Miranda rather than Carrie. While I do see why critics liked Miranda's album better, I felt as if Carrie's was still pretty good but also that poor single choices were made. I'm not sure how much of a say Carrie has in that, but I felt like there still should've been a single this spring. Carrie probably still pushed for "Mama's Song" but it makes no sense to me that "Someday When I Stop Loving You" and "What Can I Say" were never singles...they would've been bigger than "Mama's Song" was and probably bigger than "Undo It" (not my favorite) and "Temporary Home" (I did like this release) if they didn't release that.
Of course, we'll never know for sure. Anyway, I'll be hoping that Carrie puts out a great album, but also that we can get it this year. November 22nd seems possible for me, and I think it would be a good week. It would be the earliest I can see it coming out, since it's a safe 3 weeks after Miranda's album, Carrie could perform the lead single at the CMA's (and it would probably already be smashing on the radio), AND the album would get big sales. I could see it coming out in the first part of December, too, but no albums come out usually in the 2nd half of December so then we'd probably have to wait 'til January of later, which I do NOT want to see unless Carrie is adamant that she really, really takes her time because for whatever reason she's unable to get it done or be satisfied with what she has in time for a late 2011 release.
Ok. Enough rambling now. Bottom line: I'm hoping for a great album in late 2011, and my prediction is a November 22 release.

I'm looking at those names and all seem that they would have something to promote around that time. I'm taking it as a good, good sign for a sooner release.

Sales from USA Today's Idol Chatter: Brad Paisley/Carrie Underwood, Remind Me (74,000, 0 change, 259,000) Carrie Underwood, All-American Girl (6,000, +8%, 1.398 million) Carrie Underwood, Undo It (5,000, -3%, 1.142 million) Carrie Underwood, Before He Cheats (5,000, -9%, 3.257 million) Has "Before He Cheats" reclaimed its spot as the best selling single from an Idol alum? "No Air" had sold a total of 3.181 million copies back in January according to Idol Chatter. I can't find anything more recent, though. Even if it hasn't yet, BHC is bound to come out on top. Jordin stays losing. And, "Remind Me" should be gold by the end of the month at this rate.

Fantastic sales. Once the video comes out, RM will be selling 6-digit figures. The song seriously wouldn't be at the status it's at if it didn't have Carrie on it.
I'm seriously stoked beyond words for the iheartradio concert now.

She could also do a November 15th release, which would be the same date that Some Hearts came out 6 years ago. And maybe this album could follow the same success of Some Hearts as well. ;)
But I really like the sound of jhomes87's November 22 scenario.

Kristin Chenoweth covered Lessons Learned, and it has a video and all... wonder if it'll be among the songs on her upcoming album... I quite enjoyed, specially because I love the song and the (remote) possibility of it being a single, even if in someone else's voice, makes me quite happy, and the voice being Kristin's puts a cherry on top! I love her... she's "shut the f....ront door" awesome (SYTYCD inside joke)...

I could see it going like this:
September 13 - Lead single shipped to radio September 20 - Adds date September 27 - Digital release October 17 - Music video debut
And depending on how fast it peaks, they could maybe release the 2nd single right before the album comes out.

I could see that..I'd prefer a bit later though. I hate the idea of having two singles out before an album. I've just never really seen the point in it.

While I do see why critics liked Miranda's album better, I felt as if Carrie's was still pretty good but also that poor single choices were made. This brings up an extremely interesting scenario because when you look at their last two singles - "Mama's Song" and "Heart Like Mine", Miranda's was not only better and bigger, but also more current. However, Miranda is on a break and while Carrie is as well, she has "Remind Me" exploding which keeps her fresh. When the Female Vocalist award for the CMAs comes into focus, am I the only one seeing Sara Evans as a true deserving darkhorse contender? "My Heart Cant Tell You No" is moving well and in my opinion will be a solid hit for Sara, and this is coming off what may have been her biggest hit ever in "Stronger" (which is going to be nommed for Single and Song as well). Add in her surprisingly good album sales, and I think there is a serious chance the CMA Vocalist this year goes to someone NOT named Carrie or Miranda. Taylor could also snag it as shes having a huge year with no break, but I see her more as the deserving ETOY than the FV. Going to be really fun!

This is the first year in a while where I seriously don't know where the FVOTY trophy will go. For-sure lock nominations (IMO): -Miranda -Carrie -Sara
Even though her success hasn't been as big, Martina has actually had a legitimate year (so to speak). Could she get a nod? I wouldn't be surprised. Taylor is my next big question mark. Will the CMAs pass up the opportunity to nominate her for FVOTY over better vocalists? I cant see it happening, but this year has been forceful for women. Could Reba get it? She still released material during the eligibility period, and she's been nominated the past few years. Plus, she's iconic for Country music. New material + #1 single + large career could equal a nod. This is the CMAs that were talking about (i.e., the people who nominated Zac Brown Band, Miranda, and Lady A over Carrie in the EOTY category last year), so it could go in any direction, tbh.
This will be a real horserace this year. I'm personally stoked to find out.

Carrie made People Magazine's Top 100 Celebrities Who Define Our Time issue: Winning American Idol was just the beginning for a country-pop princess.
She was just one of many hopefuls on season four of American Idol when the world's least tactful man - Idol judge Simon Cowell - made an early prediction. "Not only will you win this show," Cowell said, "you will sell more records than any previous Idol winner." Right and right. The daughter of a schoolteacher and paper mill operator raised in Checotah, Okla (pop. 3,500), Underwood used her 2005 Idol victory to launch a spectacular solo career, becoming the highest-debuting country artist in history with her album Some Hearts. After that accolades piled up like pancakes: a Grammy for Best New Artist, two straight Entertainer of the Year awards from the Academy of Country Music (the first female ever to pull that off) and 15 Billboard Music Awards - more than any other Idol winner. She also dated Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo before marrying hockey hunk Mike Fisher in 2010. "God has blessed me with so many wonderful things in my life," she said "and I will spend my entire life trying to figure out why." Cowell, for one, has an answer. On top of her sweet voice, he said, "she has a likability factor." And that's coming from a guy who hates puppies.
Here's JTTW/HGTA from last night's Country Concert: Kristin Chenoweth covered Lessons Learned This woman stays butchering Carrie classics. Seriously, somebody stop her. IA. There isn't a front-runner. I think Carrie has more buzz going for her than any of the other girls, though.

Carrie records nothing but classics.
The People mention is even cooler being that she's listed in the general MUSIC section after Michael Jackson & before Elton John. I know, I know, it's only an entertainment magazine. But, still. They obviously view her very highly.

Obviously Carrie's version is better but Kristin still did okay. It's definitely not a butcher job, and she's not just "This woman." Kristin is an Emmy and Tony winner. She's an amazing vocalist, but she has an opera trained voice.
It's the same thing with Josh Groban. He's a great vocalist, but his style may not work well with other genres.
Anyway, I just wanted to defend my fellow Okie. She didn't butcher Carrie's song. Now Kristin's first country single is another matter. That song is butcher job of terrible songwriting.

It was said in jest. I understand that Kristin is an accomplished vocalist in her own right. But, she just sounds down-right atrocious on both "Last Name" & "Lessons Learned", in my opinion.

I actually really enjoy her version of Last Name, and I loved it in the show. It's different, in a good way. Kristin doesn't come close to nailing the song like Carrie does, (on either of them) but she sounds good on them. It's a matter of taste, really. Not talent.

Not a fan of Kristin singing country music, nothing has sounded good in my opinion...
And I'm sort of on the fence with when the album release would be best, for sales it would be fall this year, but high quality is more important, and I really feel Carrie knows that and I'm excited to hear what is to come, and I'm thinking it will be worth the wait.

This is a HUGE honour, IMO, especially when considering the company she keeps on the People list.

It's hard to believe it's been a year already! Wow! I remember all the wedding craze and speculation like it was just a few weeks ago. :o Anyways, congrats to Carrie & Mike! :) They will forever remain one of the only Hollywood and/or famous couples that I will be able to tolerate because they don't flaunt their celebrity statuses around like others do. EAT SOME HUMBLE PIE, HOLLYWOOD.Anyways, the BDS Certified Spin Awards for May 2011 were in the July 9 issue of Billboard Magazine, and look who's #1! 800,000 spins Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats

That's incredible about "Before He Cheats". The writers of that song are probably just rolling in money. And Mike tweeted this earlier today: "Happy Anniversary to the one God made for me!!" twitter.com/#!/mikefisher1212

"Walk This Way" / "Paradise City" medley from July 8th's show: The same user has uploaded "All American Girl," "Some Hearts," & "So Small." Carrie's schedule is cleared for the rest of the month and Mike's heading off to a hockey camp in Ottawa or something. So I'm assuming the serious studio work begins tomorrow. Hopefully some more co-writes turn up!
