So Carrie's got another writing camp? :) Cool! nvm read that wrong. I think that "So Small" got a good review. I don't remember if "Temporary Home" got a nice review either. SS was the one good review she's ever gotten on that site. I'd say JAD was, but they still tore up the entire first verse to shreds because it didn't correlate with the rest of the song in their eyes. TH wasn't praised either. As a matter of fact, when Jim Malec wrote the review, he basically admitted that he hated the girl in the very first sentence. Didn't JAD get a "thumbs up"? I think I remember the reviewer saying that they barely gave it a "thumbs up", but I'm not sure. I loved how they thought that Carrie fans were overreacting when they posted the AAG review. It was just horrid overreaching. We always got labeled as "overreacting" towards them, but if Jim Malec wasn't so anti-Carrie and actually read back his idiotic review of AAG, he'd realize that we weren't overreacting; we were just being defensive.

off topic, but I'm in love with I Know You Won't. what a beautiful song! Couldn't agree more. EASILY one of her best songs. Beyond impressive.

There's not another writing camp. He's referring to the one that took place back in April.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the time 9513 felt that one negative review just wasn't enough. They for some reason felt the need to post two negative reviews for one song. I can't remember the song, but I want to say it was Cowboy Casanova. it was cc, and it was jim malec and someone "guest" writer. that cemented it for me that jim malec just has it personally for carrie, and will never look at her without any bias. and he should really stop with "i have diff standards for carrie because shes so much better than anyone else and she sings bad songs" crap he's been spewing whenever hes being criticized of being too critical towards carrie. rodney atkins songs dont get 2 bad reviews on the same song. th gets a bad review while rain is a good thing gets a good review??? and according to jim taylor swift is just better than any classic poet out there and she trumps all their best classic work that stood the tests of time all bec she wrote a song about a teenage girl who lost her virginity in her teens anyway, i believe hes gone from 9513 and doing his own thing now

Perfect post. Jim Malec has it out for Carrie, plain and simple. Whether he's a good journalist or not is one thing, but he's no longer subjective when it comes to Carrie and his pieces; he's simply a nit-picky hater.

I'm kind of surprised that we haven't gotten nearly as many co-writes loaded onto the databases as we did with the PO era...

I wonder how much "Remind Me" will end up selling. It looks like a million is a lock. :)

I suspect RM will sell about 2 million and become the new highest-selling country duet. Two new Olay photos:

---- Carrie Underwood, Play On (2,000, +2%, 2.029 million) I wonder how much "Remind Me" will end up selling. It looks like a million is a lock. :) Agree. Since 'Remind Me' will peak in the next week or so on country radio, I expect it to hit 1 million in sales in the next 4-5 weeks and probably close to 1.3 million by years' end if it has staying power.

RM will definitely hit 1 million in sales, but I'm curious to see how far it can go before it really slows down. The expected CMA performance still wouldn't happen for another 2 months during November, long after the song has peaked [which should be within the next week or two], so that could give the song a big second wind, but I'm not sure if it will catch up to Don't You Wanna Stay. It's big on HAC now, and it's still selling in the 20k's per week.

Beyond ready for "Remind Me" to peak. I feel like we'll probably be getting an album release date & maybe even an album title shortly after RM falls from the top spot. I just can't see the label passing up on the opportunity to utilize the buzz generated by the duet in getting out information about Carrie's upcoming album.
And, as far as sales go, I think RM will end up somewhere in the 1.5 - 1.7 million range.

^^ Me as well. I'm still cautiously optimistic that we get a new single (and album) this calender year. I suppose that if we do not hear anything about the new project in the next 3-4 weeks, the chances are slim ???

I suppose that if we do not hear anything about the new project in the next 3-4 weeks, the chances are slim ???That's what I'm thinking. With the past three albums, we've gotten the information in around 3-4 days from now. If there's no announcement within the next 3 weeks, I'll start to get very, very reluctant that it won't be out until the very beginning 2012.

Yeah, I would say within the next few weeks we should hear something too. I have a feeling Carrie will blog soon and give us an update. If the album doesn't come out this year, I can see her debuting the single at the CMAs and the album dropping in January.

I'm pretty sure we'll start hearing a lot of news about Carrie's next album as soon as "Remind Me" starts to fall from #1 on the charts. They're not going to release any info before then.

^ I hope so. This seems like the longest we've had to wait for anything from Carrie. I mean Mama's Song peaked months ago! Good thing Remind Me is on radio though. I just hope we get something soon. Even disappointing news that an album may be out later than expected. I just hate being in the dark and I am a very impatient person in general.

Somebody, somewhere better cap that performance, seeing as there was no mention of any television or online streaming for it.
