Singer/songwriter Marissa Stone has now confirmed on Twitter that Carrie cut one of the songs that she submitted for her album. She also said that she will "release details in a few weeks." Could that be a hint that album news is coming in the upcoming couple of weeks?!

Marissa Stone is 15 years old. It would truly be a coup for her if Carrie did indeed record her song.

I hope albums new is coming soon. If not, I guess we won't be getting an album this year after all. Hopefully, we'll get something after RM peaks....

^^Woah. :o I don't know if it impacts artists, but if it does, then that really sucks for Miranda Lambert because it says that Columbia's team was hit the hardest, and she's under the Columbia name.

There's a lot of rumbling going on within Sony and things are really shaking up. Lots more people without jobs now...the entire Columbia label could be dissolved completely. Miranda and Josh Thompson are safe, though, as they are getting transfered to RCA. It could be, though, that newcomers Bradley Gaskin and Joanna Smith (from Columbia) could be left without a label. It's almost like everytime Sony seems done making changes, something else happens...and this was big. So I guess we don't know for sure how things will look yet, but RCA seems like they'll have a lot of artists...Jake Owen, Chris Young, Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert, Danny Gokey, Love & Theft, Josh Thompson, and newcomers Bush Hawg and Kristin Kelly. The Arista and BNA rosters apparently will remain the same, at least for now.

Even tho "Mr Bartender" peaked at 32 alot of people are looking forward to his album! Hes SO what Country music needs right now! Of course Country really needs another Carrie album too, I just hope she keeps this one's sound more "All American Girl" and less "Undo It."

I'm thinking Carrie is going to come up with an EPIC album. If it takes longer than it usually does, then so be it. I want a 21 from Carrie and I think she can do it. It seems she's really thinking about this album this time. If it takes awhile, I'm, all for it! :)

Typo, maybe you could add in the information about Carrie hosting the 45th CMA Awards to the opening page? :)

Is Remind Me #1 this week on the Billboard chart as well?? I believe so, yes. And, as long as they post strong numbers this week, they can hopefully fend off Jake Owen long enough to keep the top spot for a couple more weeks.

Seeing that "still going strong" part of the advertisement, coupled with Tony Thomas' comment tonight about RM still having some life in it, it sure makes me believe that the song will hold onto the #1 spot for next week and several weeks to come.

The "still going strong" in the advertisement is definitely a good sign that they are going to try to keep this there! Awesome.

^I don't think they need to try to keep this there. Radio won't drop it yet...they have no reason to. Brad's probably not in a rush to release his 4th single from TICM, and Carrie's lead single probably isn't quite ready yet either (though I bet it's not too far off).
They'll get this week at #1 too...I'm not necessarily sure it will park itself there forever but we'll see. Jake Owen is still going to be performing "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" on Good Morning America September 6, so even though he got a big push this week, he could still stay at #2 for a while and maybe sneak in a week yet.
It should be interesting to see how this week plays out. Kenny has slowed...he's up to #4 but unless he gets a big push, he might not even make #3. Rodney, Toby, and Keith are all having strong gains and could be the ones to follow "Remind Me" at the top unless Jake does indeed sneak up there for a week in between.
"Remind Me" is ahead of Jake by about 1.1 million AI's on tonight's Billboard chart. Jake has a big 5 million lead over the next climbing song (Kenny), though...and then there's a gap of 1.5 million from Kenny to Rodney, with Toby and Keith pretty close behind him, and all 3 gaining on Kenny. I'm looking forward to see how this week all plays out...but "Remind Me" should still be #1 a week from now and has a chance to hang on longer.
