I don't remember if this had been talked about before, but I guess Arista is no longer? Does this effect Carrie? Pretty sure it is still going... www.aristanashville.com/

In response to a thread on the FC regarding tour openers, Carrie stated that they're getting the next tour lined up now (and yes, for those wondering, she does choose who opens for her).
It might be wishful thinking, but it sounds like things are coming together. Hope this means album news soon.

I'm willing to bet that one of her two openers (assuming she has 2 like she has had in the past) will be Lauren Alaina.

I think the album release really is not that far off if they're already preparing the next tour. My predicition is that it will come out like january/ferbuary at the latest.
I definitely think one of the opening acts will be Lauren. I believe she already said something like that after their duet on American Idol.

It's nice to hear that she's already working on the tour. I remember some Ottawa radio station tweeting about month or so ago that she was planning a 'different' & 'more creative' tour. I love the sound of that. And, this is just my own little wishful thinking, but maybe working on the new album & upcoming tour simultaneously will allow for Carrie to capture more of her live performance magic on record?

Carrie blogged: - She's excited about hockey season. She was actually watching the Predator's first game as she blogged.
- Cute story about trying to find some Halloween costumes at a party shop for Mike and herself. She left w/ nothing because the costumes were either too childish or too inappropriate.
- She recorded background vocals for the upcoming album on Wednesday. She mentioned that this is a new experience for her because she's typically on the road, therefore Mark has to find someone else to do it. But, not this time.

I feel like if she's recording background vocals..it has to be close to finished.

I feel like if she's recording background vocals..it has to be close to finished. My thoughts exactly. They have to be coming into the homestretch if they're cutting the backing vocals of the tracks. If so, then we could be getting some announcements as early as CMA promo week, which would be fantastic hype for Carrie to build everything upon one-another. I'm still banking on the debut of the lead single at the CMAs and an album release in January. I'm seriously stoked beyond words. I can't believe the fourth album is coming up! Remind Me really helped her stay in the limelight, too, during her off-year (which, putting it in perspective hardly seemed "off" at all).

This is probably just me making up things but, there I go....
There's a song called "Loved by You" on the new album by canadian artist Stacey McKritick. I instantly thought that could be the Carrie/Tom Douglas co-write that was registrered months ago... Specially when I saw that one of the lyric goes "you say my legs look a little too long". LOL, that probably means nothing but it would be great haha.
I've bee trying to find the songwriting credits for Stacey's album since yesterday but I just can't, there's no mucj info about it out there. If someone knows how to find this out....

She's too kind: @gactv: Rascal Flatts said several Opry members have sent them welcome gifts. Photo frames from Carrie Underwood, a candy basket from Oak Ridge Boys. It's definitely CMA stuff. Thanks for bringing that over here. Seems like this must be for a comedic sketch or something w/ all of these actors being involved.

Did I make up hearing that Carrie would be doing back up vocals on "Eighteen Inches"? I think that if she did, Lauren Alaina would just be beside herself.
I'm ready for a new Carrie single. I'm hoping it's a ballad for selfish reasons.

She performs JTTW flawlessly, every time. She never changes the arrangement, she sticks to the original recorded version from '05, and it's perfection every time. <3
And I really love her hair like that! I hope she does the album cover photo shoot with that hair.

I think my favorite performance of JTTW is still the Walmart soundcheck version. I absolutely love the section she adds in near the bridge with her head voice. She sounds like an angel.

Hopefully video surfaces of her "I Told You So" performance from that night. That one sounded especially gorgeous. ^She sounds absolutely flawless with Randy. IKR. You could tell they were both having a blast up there. And I really love her hair like that! I hope she does the album cover photo shoot with that hair. Me too. I actually loved her entire look. Old fashioned w/ a contemporary twist. I absolutely love the section she adds in near the bridge with her head voice. She sounds like an angel. YES. I feel like I've posted that performance over here a million times, love it to death. I've always thought of it as being like a sung prayer, which adds like a whole 'nother dimension to the song for me. I really hope she brings that version back for the next tour & performs "How Great Thou Art" in full.

^^^ I'm all for that idea for the next tour. That version of JTTW is amazing and I understand the hymn-ness it has.

Ditto; I'm in total consensus with all of you. That version of JTTW is probably the best live one I've ever heard. That head voice It really, really does sound angelic.

Eighteen Inches is a very cute song. It fits Lauren well.
