Carrie briefly mentioned during all-new Family Guy episode tonight: "Before He Cheats" plays.
Stewie: I love this song. Brian: Really? Stewie: I don't have to defend Carrie Underwood to you. She's doing just fine without you. Edit: Ack, freeman! Hahahah. FYI, I've uploaded that clip to my site. It's in mpeg2 format

I say screw Oklahoma Wind. We've already all heard it and it's time for all new stuff. While it was a decent song, it was written for PO. Time to move on peeps! :)

I'm still hoping for Oklahoma Wind to be on the album. It's an amazing song, the best co-write I think we've heard so far. It'd be a shame to not have on a future record.

Ok if Carrie referred to the album as a "masterpiece" then consider me officially beyond excited. I need tracklist, cover and title soon (as well as first single).

Is anyone else sensing serious critical acclaim with this next album?

Is anyone else sensing serious critical acclaim with this next album? I'm trying not to get my hopes up there. It honestly seems like a lot of critics hold Carrie to an impossible standard & will never give her the credit she deserves, no matter how good her music is.

Is anyone else sensing serious critical acclaim with this next album? I prefer to assume that by default, it will never happen. If it does, it will be a nice bonus. I just think that she will always be seen as too pop by some critics, no matter what she does. I'm more interested in the fans and non-fans reactions to the album, and where her sales would go.

Some new Paisleywood interviews: Good Day LAABC NewsThat "Remind Me" rehearsal footage is superb. Brad actually sounded quite good. Carrie's head voice is so strong these days, it's always been extremely pretty but now it's just completely refined. I hope we get to hear even more of it on the upcoming album because it's one of her strongest traits as a vocalist, I think. I say screw Oklahoma Wind. I love "Oklahoma Wind" to pieces but I'm not interested in Play On scraps. Brand new material, please. And, I think it's kinda neat that as a fan-base we have that one unreleased gem.

I love "Oklahoma Wind" to pieces but I'm not interested in Play On scraps. Brand new material, please. And, I think it's kinda neat that as a fan-base we have that one unreleased gem. Here's the thing. I have no proof of any of this but I feel I would strongly guess I was right. "Oklahoma Wind" is not a "scrap" from "Play On". It didn't not go on "Play On" because it wasn't a good enough song, it didn't make "Play On" because it didn't fit on the same album as a beautiful song with the same message: "Someday When I Stop Loving You". Carrie even said that they had some amazing songs not make the album ("Play On") simply because they did not "fit" on the album. Another reason I believe, is since Carrie was a writer on "Oklahoma Wind", I think it was safe to hold the song for her next album, whereas she felt safer recording "Someday When I Stop Loving You" at that time since it wasn't really hers to put on hold, if that makes any sense. I feel if Carrie would have passed permanently on ever recording "Oklahoma Wind", the song would have already been recorded by another artist. Also, she called this album "Folksy" early on. That was actually one of the first things we heard about the album. I can definitely see the production on "Oklahoma Wind" going in a modern-folk direction. And she obviously had this one on hold already, so that would fit. (This point is more speculation). Finally, it truly is an amazing song that I know a lot of her fans, including myself, absolutely love(d). I'm sure many of you enjoyed it more when you first heard it and when many were claiming it to be Carrie's best co-write to date (I still agree with this). So imagine how casual fans/radio listeners/critics will feel when they hear this song for the first time. As subjective as music is, this is a very well-written song that could be a huge high point in Carrie's career and a huge missed opportunity if not released.

Before He Cheats is completely infiltrating television this week. A group called "Urban Method" will be covering the song on The Sing-Off tonight on NBC.

Someone posted on Facebook that there is a rumor going around that Carrie, Scotty, Kelly, Kellie, and Lauren will be performing together on the CMAs. I haven't seen this, but does anyone know if there is truth to this?

Kelly will be overseas promoting her album, so I doubt that's true.

I'm sure many of you enjoyed it more when you first heard it and when many were claiming it to be Carrie's best co-write to date (I still agree with this). I don't think any of us here are putting the song down or anything - at least I'm not. "Oklahoma Wind" is immaculate, I love it, the majority of us cherish it. It's just I already have "Oklahoma Wind" and I really don't care if the masses get to hear it or not. I want a brand new shiny album. That's all. WFAA Interview with Carrie and Brad. So...album's upbeat & edgy. Interesting. Someone posted on Facebook that there is a rumor going around that Carrie, Scotty, Kelly, Kellie, and Lauren will be performing together on the CMAs. I haven't seen this, but does anyone know if there is truth to this? Sounds like bulls**t.

Either way, though, Carrie would kill them all on stage, so...

Carrie Underwood: Ten Reasons to Watch the CMA Awards01. I get to wear multiple outfits...and at someone else's expense!
02. My co-host Brad Paisley is a distinguished songwriter, singer, guitarist, a true humanitarian and the newly published author of Diary of A Player. (He paid me handsomely for the book plug.) He's also the single biggest and most shameless wiseacre on either side of the Mason-Dixon line. Don't believe me? Just watch.
03. Miss Piggy -- with whom I competed fiercely at the host auditions this year -- has it out for me, I'm pretty sure. I caught her rehearsing "Remind Me," in her dressing room. I'll have to keep my eye on her.
04. The hysterical and Emmy-winning Eric Stonestreet will come to Nashville to reclaim part of the Modern Family timeslot. That's my second favorite show on TV after The Walking Dead. But that's on another network, so forget I said that.
05. What other show would bring you Taylor Swift, Lionel Richie, The Band Perry, the stars of Once Upon A Time, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, World Series MVP David Freese, Jason Aldean, and a few people who I can't mention yet for legal, moral and musical reasons.
06. Country music is cool and the show is free. And the price is the same for the whole family.
07. There will be a moving tribute to the legendary Glen Campbell featuring there of our finest guitar-slinging singers of all time -- Vince Gill, Keith Urban, and Brad.
08. The amazing Faith Hill is singing on the CMA Awards for the first time in five years.
09. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert will both be there too. Just between us, I'm beginning to suspect there's something going on between them.
10. There will be some big surprises, but no, I can't tell you. Trust me -- don't tune in late!
She's adorable.

I'm particularly curious about the big surprises that cause her to tell us not to tune in late. Perhaps something extra special is planned for the opening monologue or something like that?

Love the Ten Reasons list. She comes across as funny, witty and adorable.
Based on all the press and videos we've gotten throughout this "off" period, I feel that with her long break, she seems to have become even more confident and comfortable with herself.... especially in showing her funny side.

Carrie attended the BMI Awards tonight, and won two awards for co-writing Mama's Song and Undo It. Pictures are up on Getty Images and Wire Image. In other news, "Remind Me" has been added to the list of Impacting Songs for Hot/Modern/AC on All Access, impacting November 14. t.co/THKKvB2N

I'm actually wondering if the song will get a remix..... I know Carrie doesn't want remixes, but since this is co-written by Brad, he is one half of the duet AND the song is on his album, I wonder how Brad feels about remixes. Not that the song needs one, imo. But that thought just happened to cross my mind.
