I still think the kid thing is a terrible idea, but Britney will probably love it. I'm just afraid that this tribute is going to be huge mess.  I can't believe people are buying that little kid thing... A lot of the kids who are participating have been posting about it on Twitter and Facebook. It's true. Deal. |

Why are people complaining though? Those kids probably can dance better than Britney in her own routine  I can see it as being cute. It's hard to stomach watching a prepubescent do IAS4U, but you can feel the impact Britney has on the younger generation |

Britney hasn't had any impact on those girls lives, instead she did impacted and paved the way for the careers of girls like Selena Gomez, Miley, Rihanna and Gaga. I hope that these artist still get to participate in some way. |

I hope that these artist still get to participate in some way. Just b/c someone didn't grow up w/ an artist, doesn't mean they don't have any sort of influence on them though. There are plenty of people who like and are perhaps influenced by musicians who were in their prime, before they were even born. People go back and discover artists before their time all the time. I agree that IS4U is the wrong song for a child tribute. If it was something along the lines of the little girl in the IUSA video, I'd be a little more okay w/ it. The clothing was age-appropriate and was from a time when Britney was projecting an "innocent" image. By the time IS4U came around, she wasn't even trying to pretend to be innocent anymore. At that point in her career, she was trying to justify what she was becoming. It's just so wrong to have a little girl wear a revealing, mid-riff baring outfit, while staring provocatively into a camera, holding a flesh-colored snake, dancing to a song entitled "I'm a Slave 4 U". Seriously, WTF? |
