Adele is obviously the best selling artist of this year everybody buys her album i'm so worried i hope nobody prevent Beyonce from debuting #1 end of this month...if Eminem new collaboration album somehow increase sell to 200K and beat Beyonce in that week i will die ...hopefully Beyonce team sell more than 300K so noone can beat her but no need the 0.99$ deal like you know who did Who is her competition that week? #1 seems highly likely...it's not like she is releasing in November...that would be a problem. |

Hmm... a bit of silly comparison but anyway Beyonce sold 3 million with her previous album, opened with 482k in November Britney's Circus sold 505k with a December release but has scanned "only" 1.7 million Femme Fatale doesn't seem to have chance of surpassing 1 million very soon. Bee is r&b, Britney is pop. I'd be very surprised to see 4 not managing to surpass Femme Fatale's numbers. to be fair if britney had the singles success beyonce pulled off that era their sales would be a ton closer. Brit had 2 huge hits, a hit, and a flop. Beyonce had a smash hit, 2 huge hits, a hit, and two moderate hits Ugh...are we really comparing an artist that is pop/some rhythmic to an artist that get pop/r*b/urban/urban ac/hot ac play... Rihanna and BEyonce would be a better bet they are multi format artists... But yeah...a silly comparison as originally stated. |

Remember when Limp Bizkit's album sold more than 1 million in its first week in 2000? Its last album supposedly received no promo at all, and failed to debut in the top 20. How will this one perform? Doesn't look like the lead single is doing anything.

You can compare them once Bee gets an album that sells double digits (over 10 mill). The legend that's Xtina doesn't have to sell anymore albums, it's all extra #s to her legendary legacy. ________________________________________________ Her Burlesque Soundtrack's still in the top 200 on here. ^I thought you were somewhat joking with the overall comments (as Aguilera hardly is near legend status, and the fact that she's not a big critical hit doesn't help that), but then when you posted that Burlesque was an iconic film, yep, that definitely confirmed it.  In terms of rep as an entertainer/performer, Queen B has the advantage, anyhow. I'd think Queen B's album should do at least 150K in its first week. |

anyhoo, Beyonce should have enough of a fanbase to open with at least 250-300k even though her singles aren't doing anything and no buzz so far.

S.Y.S.T.E.M. This was at #34, this appears on the Bodyguard Soundtrack, Whitney does not sing on this track The list I posted was meant to be a PURE female solo list. The Bodyguard is not a pure Whitney album. It is a multi-artist soundtrack with a dominant star on the album I did not intend to include multi-artist soundtracks that has one artist with star billing. Paul Grein posted such a list a couple weeks back, where he did include multi-artist soundtracks that had one clear star. |

Tons of people try to sing her classic songs (Reflection, I Turn To You, Beuatiful) on many talent show. She definitely influences many people. Although i don't consider her as a legend yet. |

I'm actually quite scared for bey. 4 is her best album yet and its in one of those situations where it can open anywhere between 150k and 400k.

I've been wondering if Selena Gomez could somehow debut higher than Beyonce. I pray to K$ that this happens. Couldn't happen to a better washed-up diva. Besides, Selena makes really good music and deserves more success. Who Says is a really good song and video. |

On a typical basis, I think Beyonce would have done much more but the album leaked almost 2 weeks earlier than average and with weak singles, she might be around 175-200k
