She absolutely chose the wrong singles. Sending 'BTINh' to urban which is basically a poppier version to 'irreplaceable' in the summer wasn't smart. I think 'Party' or 'countdown' would have been better and 'EOT' to pop.
Twitter will melt if she does less than 200k. I think she should do well above 200k!

Since her album leaked, she's been getting pretty good reviews. Maybe she chose the wrong singles...... She definitely chose the wrong lead single, IMO. I think Beyonce should have led off with something like "Countdown" or "End of Time." RTW sounds out of place in the context of the remainder of her album which has sort of a throwback vibe and, honestly, it's just not a strong track. |

^RTW is not very sing-songy, so in that regard, it was not a good choice for radio. BTINH is a better radio choice, but still not something that seems like it would blow up or anything.

I think there's a bit of "Monday Morning Quarterback" here. RTW is not very melodic but it is very uptempo, and I can see how, among the songs on the album, it may have seemed like a smart choice. I think there are just literally zero clear single choices on this album. It works as an album, but it's not a hits factory like Sasha Fierce was.

Digital: 1,779,000
24,576,000 digital tracks were sold last week.

I've been wondering if Selena Gomez could somehow debut higher than Beyonce. I pray to K$ that this happens. Couldn't happen to a better washed-up diva. Besides, Selena makes really good music and deserves more success. Who Says is a really good song and video. Washed up? What are you smoking these days? |
