Jay-Z has begun recording material for his 12th solo studio album. He did a track with Frank Ocean.

What happened the greatest hits album with the new Rihanna collab?! I think that was a rumor. He released the greatest hits, but there was no new Rihanna collaboration on it.

I liked most of the Blueprint III, it was an overall a good album. Here's hoping this'd be good.

I'm not really anticipating this. The last album i really liked from Jay was "American Gangster".

JAY-Z TOPS FORBES’ HIP-HOP CASH KINGS LISTJay-Z is having the best week ever. With Watch the Throne set to debut at No. 1 on the charts, the rap titan also reigns atop Forbes’ annual Cash Kings list. The magazine has declared the Roc Nation mogul as hip-hop’s top earner with $37 million made in the past 12 months. He tops the list for the fourth time in five years thanks to tour sales, his ongoing $150 million Live Nation deal, and stakes in the New Jersey Nets and 40/40 club. Following in close second is hip-hop impresario Sean “Diddy” Combs, who banked $35 million in the past year with roughly half of his earnings coming from Ciroc vodka. Jay’s partner in rhyme Kanye West claims third place, returning to the top three for the first time since 2009. Lil Wayne ties with his YMCMB comrade Birdman for fourth ($15 million), Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg rack up $14 million each, and Wiz Khalifa, Pitbull, and B.o.B are among the new entries. Nicki Minaj becomes the first female to make the list at No. 15 with $6.5 million. The Young Money diva burst onto the scene with her platinum debut Pink Friday, tours with Lil Wayne and Britney Spears, and endorsement deals with M•A•C Cosmetics and Casio. Jay-Z Talks Obama, Marriage Equality SupportJay-Z has thrown his support behind President Obama’s marriage equality stance, CNN Political Ticker reports. In a CNN interview, the hip-hop mogul said of the issue: "I've always thought it as something that was still, um, holding the country back. What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love. That's their business.” “It’s is no different than discriminating against blacks. It's discrimination plain and simple,” Jay-Z said. www.advocate.com/politics/marriage-equality/2012/05/15/jay-z-supports-obama-marriage-equality-stance

I have much respect for Kanye and now Jay-Z for speaking out in support of equality. Homophobia has long been preached as gospel in the hip hop community and it's refreshing to see the big names leading a shift.

JAY-Z LAUNCHES ROC NATION SPORTSJay-Z is expanding his empire with the launch of Roc Nation Sports, a full-service sports management company. According to the New York Post, Roc Nation Sports will be led by the hip-hop mogul with Juan Perez serving as president. They have partnered with CAA Sports, a division of Creative Artists Agency, and signed New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano as their first client. “Because of my love of sports, it was a natural progression to form a company where we can help top athletes in various sports the same way we have been helping artists in the music industry for years,” said Jay-Z. Cano is a member of the Yankees’ 2009 World Series championship team, a four-time Silver Slugger Award winner, and two-time Gold Glove Award winner. “At this point in my career, I am ready to take a more active role in my endeavors both on and off the field,” said Cano. “I am confident that the pairing of Roc Nation Sports and CAA Sports will be essential in helping me accomplish my short- and long-term goals. I am making this important decision now so I can keep my focus on helping the Yankees succeed in 2013, while minimizing any distractions for me and my teammates.” Jay-Z’s Roc Nation is home to music superstars including Rihanna, J. Cole, Shakira, Kylie Minogue, and Timbaland. www.rap-up.com/2013/04/02/jay-z-launches-roc-nation-sports

Robinson Cano is a prolific score, but I don't give a shit? I'm tired of Jay-Z's business ventures becoming the cornerstone of his celebrity. I want music. Not a collaborative album. Not some 16 bar guest cameo. Not a tour.
I want a Jay-Z studio album and I want it NOW.
